Been going here for years but has been a while since last visit. Always get the shrimp basket and it's changed some. The shrimp are not butterflied and the fries are a smaller portion. All could be attributed to supply and economics. I remember the portions being bigger but Prices are only a couple dollars more than what they were in the past. Staff has always been accommodating and still is.
New York New York Tiki Bar and Grille- South Titusville, FL- 4.5 StarsLocal legend has it that one night, the owner of the new hotel as well as a great deal of surrounding land, Henry Titus, challenged Capt. Clark Rice to the naming rights of the burgeoning metropolitan area originally called Sand Point. Mr. Titus' choice of weapons for this historical duel? A rousing game of lethal dominoes! Well, OK. So it wasn't all that “lethal” and the final score of this legendary game of tiles was lost in time, the outcome is not, thus, in 1873 the place was re-named Titusville. Why did I mention the naming myth of Titusville, you ask? Well, I was in the neighborhood killing time between meals and thought a little local research would speed up the wait, besides, who doesn't find creation myths interesting? All that aside, it was time for my next meal and according to the genie in the name generator, I was going to be dining at New York New York Tiki Bar and Grille. Well, now I'm sad I left my grass skirt at home, but somehow, I'll manage. After being seated and shown a menu, including their specials, Tom introduced himself as our waiter and I must say that right out of the gate, I thought he was a creep at first but he rallied late and became a Big Boy Top 10 waiter. I put in an order for some Ropa Vieja, Braised Cabbage, and what the menu touted as “homemade” Blueberry Cobbler and a juicy burger (medium rare) for my guest. It wasn't all that long before Tom was returning with our grub. After snapping a few pictures (just look at that salad!), I eagerly dug into the spread before me. I found the Ropa Vieja (a Cuban-inspired stew) delectable the seasoning was spot on. The fresh pulled beef (read steak) tomatoes, peppers, onions and black beans blended superbly over some deliciously seasoned yellow rice. The Braised Cabbage was spectacular. It was braised to perfection and served with sauteed onions and real bacon bits. Extraordinary!! Once again, I ask you to turn your attention to the picture of that side salad. Fresh Spring Green mix, fresh cherry tomato along with a garden-fresh sliced red onion. This is how a side salad should be done. This is why I do this. The Juicy Burger was grilled to a perfect medium-rare, served on a nice toasted bun and it was just as scrumptious as the rest of the food.Forget the name. Forget how it looks. If the rest of the menu is as good as these specials are, it's a total treat! The Big Boy says, “If you want delicious food made with obvious care and pride, put this place on your list!” #bigboydiningout #thebigboy

Had a great lunch Sunday while friends were visiting. Crunchy fish platter and Red Drum were great! Portions were good and the view was awesome. Sat outside since the weather was perfect but the inside is nice and clean. I have been here twice now and have really enjoyed it. Fried mushrooms and shrimp last visit were also very good.
I love the view and the service here. Our server Brook was awesome. I just wish they had a more traditional bar menu. Trying to be to fancy for the atmosphere. Give me some nachos or a chicken sandwich. Pizza maybe? Great place though. Cold beer. If they only had Bud Light Lime in a can I would visit every day.
We arrived around 5:15 pm and they were already out of two fish dishes they advertised as specials for the day. Seemed strange to me to have that on the menu for today, unless they had a really busy lunch, which, by the looks of things, is doubtful. The view was fantastic, and probably very poplar in the 80's. It is a great location with tremendous potential. I think a visit from Restaurant Impossible would help bring this place back to life. Food was good, though, which saved the experience.
great food, wonderful staff and, and a good view of the river. There were 4 of us in my ladies group and the staff did not hurry us or rush us to start or finish. I have been here several times and it's always good!!
Great service food and atmosphere
I have been frequenting this local gem for two and a half years now. I wish the meal choices, serving sizes, prices, and quality were what they were two years ago. I know things have changed however, I know find myself disappointed repeatedly. Although the food is acceptable it is not outstanding as it was. The prices have raised significantly and I do not believe the portions and the quality are worth the price. I do however continue to visit because I feel I am paying for the view. The staff is always attentive and friendly.
Food was delicious!!! We ordered cheese curds (pictured), grouper sandwich with slaw and fries, chicken tenders and Mac n cheese. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The curds were served with spicy mayo-ketchup sauce. The service was great too!! Our server was so nice and friendly and made recommendations when I asked her. Someone else came out to check on us too. Everyone was attentive. Lots of hand sanitizer, wipes and air purifiers around the restaurant. I’m so glad we found this place!
