A very pleasant experience today. We were greeted nicely and promptly settled into our booth. Our server was nice and helpful, lovely smile.My LaBamba Burrito was excellent, especially the tender chicken wrapped up inside. The guacamole, pico, and sour cream were all fresh. Note: Their tomatoes were perfect, a rarity in food service. I think they were local grown.Their chips and salsa are good. The iced tea was fresh and perfectly brewed.
Passed by his place daily. Thought it time to give it a try. Nothing special about this (seemingly) old Pizza Hut building turned into a Mexican restaurant. The food had no flavor nor excitement, that I've experienced in other such establishments. Service staff was nice and attentive.I will continue to drive by his lack-luster place to better Mexican choices.
Our family group of 9 (3 adults and 6 kids ages 5-17) enjoyed dinner here while traveling through the area. The chips and salsa were fantastic! We got seconds. Most of the group had the Birria tacos that were the special that day. None of us left anything on our plates- they were that good. The others were likewise pleased with their choices. The server was very attentive and friendly. I would absolutely recommend the restaurant based on my experience. I’ll be eating here again when I’m in the area. So good!
I have been here a few times and I must say I am highly impressed with them quality of the food. Amazing staff and food. Totally worth stopping in. Portions always seems to be very generous also.
This is our favorite restaurant! We go there weekly. Everything we have ever ordered is so good and the salsa is always so fresh!! Tableside guacamole is a must try also..J is our favorite server!
I used to order the green cheese enchiladas all the time until they forgot how to make the green sauce. Today, I ordered the Red Cheese enchiladas and can someone please locate the cheese because I find filling but I don't know where the cheese is ...And even though it has a upload pic button. It won't allow me to upload
We typically always have great food from here, not tonight!! I called in take out, the order was incorrect when we got home...which would have been fine...but.........the Carne Asada ended up being pork that was so dry it wasn't edible (pictured below), literally cracking in your fingers like leather! The beans were watered down, rice was crunchy, and sopapillas were served without ice cream (has always come with it before). One of the hands down worst meals I have ever been served, and there is NO WAY this would've been served if we were dining in there. Sad to say that the chips and salsa were the best part of the meal. Not sure we will ever go back now!
I don't know if the restaurant changed management or what but we just had the Carnitas Tacos and they were horrible. Very dry and flavorless, even the refried beans were tasteless. The salsa also appears to be watered down!!
This is a great place! The food is great, and the service is awesome. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the cheese dip portion sizes. Their large cheese dip is a small/extra small compared to most places, and the small is close to the same size as the cheese dipping sauce at taco bell... We get our food from La Marimba, but in order to have enough cheese dip for the family, we order a large cheese dip from El Leoncito to go with our La Marimba food. It is nearly three times the size for a comparable price I really wish we didn't have to do that... Attached photo is the large cheese dip.
I was pleasantly surprised.The food servings were perfectly portioned, no waste and you leave feeling full and completely satisfied.The dish I had was good although it was not like the Southwestern/Mexican restaurants in Texas it was better than many in Florida.The prices were reasonable.I liked the atmosphere it is small and quaint inside and you can eat outside if you wanted, which is fun to be able to do if you like to watch the river and or passing of traffic.A very nice place to meet up for a lunch with a few friends.I left happy and really appreciated the service from all of the staff.I plan to come back again sometime in the future.
