This was my first time having dinner at TooJay"s. It was delicious. I had the 2 deli dogs with pastrami and cole slaw. It comes with fries and cole slaw as well but you can swap it for potato salad if you want too.
Just had lunch yesterday. Noticed the construction and signage stating the food is still the same.....................Well, it's not. Ordered the french onion soup and it was lukewarm and tasteless. Ordered the two hot dogs and they came out after being microwaved and the buns were super stale. Cole slaw was inedible. Don't know what is going on with this location but the last few weeks it has been going downhill. Management you need to wake up and making sure items are being made the same.
Food was great! Had the chicken sandwich with fries and potatoes cakes. Came with applesauce and sour cream. Tea was fresh. Triple chocolate cake was a little too much chocolate for me. Service was good too.
Terrible fish-and-chips $40 for 2 plates the fish tasted like a dried piece of linoleum. Coleslaw wasn't any better, the size of a tablespoon, cut very coarse no flavor at all. avoid the avoid this place at all cost. Instead go to TooJays delicatessen on square. everything is top notch great food.
The young dark haired girl at the pick-up/register is always so nice. I get to-go lunch twice a week here and she is always smiling and has my order ready to hand to me. Always good food aswell.
Our group of four ate here because other restaurants in the area had a wait and this one didn’t. As we were seated I noticed them that our table faced a tv with the news on. I asked our server to change to something entertaining. He asked the manager but he wouldn’t allow the server to change the channel. Personally, I don’t like to watch the news while I’m out. I’m out be cause I want to be entertained! The chopped salad I ordered was plentiful and okay tasting but nothing special. It was pretty bland actually. Our server was professional and efficient. I’d give the place 1 star for entertainment/ambience, 2 stars for food and 4 stars for service, for an average overall rate of two stars. I won’t be in any hurry to go back.
Went there for mother's day. Service was great and the food good. The servers were very attentive even with them being busy celebrating all the moms. They gave the moms a free piece of cake, very nice.
We were seated quickly but waited 20 minutes to order. Ended up with a different server originally assigned to our table. We were told they were short-staffed. Server we ended up with did a splendid job. We split a breakfast combo platter which was the perfect amount of food for 2 people - it included eggs, bacon, toast and home fries. Breakfast for 2 under $18 with coffee isn't bad at all.
Open face turkey sandwich was cold, steaks fries were soaked in grease and the French onion soup was lacking the beefy flavor. And they think they are upscale “deli”.
Me and my husband visited here for the first time on Sunday. Crazy how the lines went all the way out the doors. Stayed like that at least until we left. Shows it’s definitely somewhere with great food. Our visit was amazing. We ordered a pastrami on sandwich and the brisket dip. It was a lot of food for us to eat but The flavors kept us wanting more. Our server was fantastic very nice and attentive can’t remember her name but she said she was over 30 weeks pregnant completely shocking seeing how fast she was moving. Great staff and great place to eat. 10/10 recommend.
