My family and I were guests at the Waterfront Inn. The hotel staff recommended this place . I was hopeful. My family waited in the car. I waited at the hostess stand for 10 minutes. Yes, 10 minutes. Maybe longer, but I know at least 10 minutes because I set my timer on my phone. . No one greeted me. Not even a warm smile. Not a hello, we will be right with you, nothing. There was plenty of staff. When I was about to leave, a young woman, blond with glasses, in a purple tee shirt, said did you need something? Wait. What? I said I wanted to be seated but no one greeted me. She said our hostess is out and our busboy is working as the host. There was only one male, dark hair, bussing tables. He walk past me several times. Even went behind the bar and began talking to a couple who were seated and having a meal. I said well, I’m clearly not welcomed here. I said to the blond, She tilted her head to the side, looked at me and half smiled. I said I guess I will just leave. She said ok. A customer walks in while, I was speaking with the young lady. She smiled a gave the new customer a menu. Well, if you haven’t figured it out by now. I am a proud brown woman. The customer who was given the menu Caucasian. I said to the blond, I will have to write a review about my experience. She said OK. It’s 2022 and it still clearly exists.

Nice hole in the wall breakfast joint that's has the most accommodating staff and the best fried chicken in the area

My wife and I were visiting the Villages in Florida and a friend recommended the Flying Biscuit. Wow, I'm sure glad we went to this cool restaurant (two times in 5 days;-) . The staff was fun and funny and the food was off the chart good. I'm glad we don't live close by because we might gain a tad of weight each time we visited this awesome place. Can't wait to visit The Flying Biscuit again (I'll eat light the night before).

Breakfast food was very good and the service was outstanding

Went for breakfast with me mudder. Best grits I’ve ever had. The biscuits were phenomenal, too. I will be back!

I've eaten here 3 times and it's been pretty fabulous every time, although not consistent. The sage gravy for biscuits is to die for, so are their biscuits with topping. I also really like their potatoes. One time my breakfast was served a certain way, and when I ordered the same thing on a different day, it was provided totally differently which was confusing. But, it was so good I didn't really care. Love love love this place - very good outdoor eating too!

We went to have breakfast and loved it!! The grits are very creamy and the topping of bacon and cheese was perfect. The biscuits were delicious. They serve them with cranberry jelly. We also had eggs benedicts that were done perfectly. Everything was delicious. The staff is very efficient and friendly. We were able to get a table out front. It was very nice. This area filled up quickly. We will definitely return when in The Villages again.

Solid breakfast place. Lovely and very helpful staff. They serve nitrate free bacon which is pretty terrific. Healthy choices available along with some pretty decedent options ?

Heard this place was great and it did not disappoint! Olivia gave us amazing service and the food was fantastic! We will be back again!

chicken and waffles were good, they have biscuits and gravy but chicken instead of sausage and it taste awesome. the biscuits with apple jam is homemade and awesome.
