No staff anymore.Keosks when you walk in to order what you want and pay for it.You take a seat and when your number is called you go pick up your own order and bring it to the table.My husband got a milk shake it doesn't even come with a spoon just a straw and it's too thick to get through the straw.Meanwhile the staff one girl bringing the orders up the other 1 cooking thinks that you should tip them.Won't be coming here again...
There's only one kiosk that accepts cash, but it's labeled at least. The staff are a mix of moody and friendly, probably due to what seems to be staffing problems. Had to wait a bit longer than I would have liked, but the food was fresh and delicious. Sad that there aren't any servers, and its gotten a tad costly, but definitely worth it!!!

A good value at $6+ I just wanted a good burger and found both here today. The service was polite and attentive, the #1combo was delicious and the total was a real surprise given today's inflation. The drink was huge! Thanks Mr. Turnbull for your good management.
I can't give 5 stars for a 1 reason. There were absolutely NO clean tables to sit at. The restaurant was nearly empty, only 2 tables being used. Since you have to use a kiosk to order, you would think someone has a minute to make the dining area clean. Food was awesome!! Best vanilla shake ? we will be back... but take out instead
Was working on their dressing line as it was not working. This is the cleanest steak and shake I have been to. I had the double with everything on it. Was fresh and good.
Have not eaten at Steak ‘n Shake in a long time. The restaurant was super clean. Ordered via kiosk entry. Food taste was like it used to be. Also ordered a shake, very good. Great clean place to grab a quick meal
I have eaten at Steak and Shake for many years. The food is very good. My issue with my recent visit is that they have turned it to be like fast food where you order from a kiosk and then wait for your food at a counter. All the tables were dirty. They did not give us the shake straws, so I had to go back to the counter and wait for someone to come out so I could ask for them. Oh, and paper straws now too. Hate, hate, hate paper straws.
It was sad.. it used to be one of my favorite places to get a burger and now there are no waitresses you have to place your order on a kiosk it's just not the same... Burger wasn't bad but when you walk in there and there's only three people it's definitely sad
Love the new self serve set up! Excellent food! Finally I get to enjoy it hot and fresh!
