We had to wait over an hour for the food. It was not even busy. When we finally received it, it was cold. The fish (haddock) was way over cooked. There appeared to be conflict among the staff. I would not recommend this restaurant. I think the undercover boss should return.
This place was so dirty it was actually cringe worthy. Crumbs all over the windowsills, greasy floors, tables weren't wiped down. Unsanitary prep (this place will easily be shut down with how bad it was) I don't usually make reviews but this was bad.
Erica was working so hard, she was great. Too busy for the help they have. We were freezing inside! Wish we coulds hear the music (my hearing is fine). We always looked forward to the party atmosphere, but staff doesn't dance to 'Johnny be good any more' :-( Really miss the wait staff dancing that they were noted for.Love that they have a few vegan options.
The waitress brought the wrong order. We never did get the right one. The front door tells it all, the place is dirty and understaffed. We’ve been to the Johnny Rockets before, many times. It’s a shame to let such a nice place go to the dogs. They need a manager.
There is a Johnny rockets located in the villages Florida at lake Sumter landing. Last night my wife ordered from their app at 630 pm. There was an event going on outside not related to the restaurant. The app said the food would be ready at 643. I walked over, leaving all my friends to arrive at 643. I arrived early and checked in. I was told “oh you just ordered at 643 and we have about a 30 minute wait”. I understand places can get over run and need time to catch up. However, this was not the case here. I spoke with other people there as I was waiting 30 minutes late now, and discovered most everybody was waiting for close to an hour. Being that I had already paid for my food I could not leave without losing my money. So, I waited even longer. I had to stop the staff just to speak with them about my order. As most everybody else did as well. All I got from them was “oh it just about ready”. I started to think I should all a manager, then I over heard what I thought was the manager, turned out he was the owner, tell another customer “it’s just that way, we got lots of people ordering and it’s just busy”. After knowing who the owner was I started to observe this person had zero sense of urgency about him as everyone was waiting over an hour for their food. This is a burger joint and fries 99% off the people ordered. There lady next to me waited over an hour and found out her food was given to someone else. Then another was also given the food she was supposed to get. She finally asked an older woman working and was told is almost ready. Then she turned around and asked for the burger and fries of the lady and they made her her order. So, I asked a server and she said the same thing, “it’s almost ready”. Then she went over to the grill operator and told them about my order. That’s when they started g my order, 1 hour and 10 minutes after the order was placed. I watched the owner still and there was no urgency to fix the mess of no organization. It was the worst ruin place I’d ever seen. And the staff only could say it was normal. I know from my time there last night that I know of at least 8 people that will never go back. There is a sign hanging in the restaurant that reads “often imitated but never equaled” I’m so glad they know that no other restaurant is as badly run as theirs.
The food we ordered was good.... but service took way to long... then again, servers were trying their best, especially Deanna our server. She was all over the place trying her best to be a great server and even under all that stress, she kept a good attitude. Seeing her work that hard made our wait not so hard to endure. Plus, our shakes were delicious!
We had a very nice lunch. So glad you had vegetarian options for my two daughters! Everything was good and we left with full bellies!
I first discovered this place in Orlando. And I only had it one time. Well then I wanted to go back so I did. Then I discovered they had this place in the villages... Let me tell u... Better than Orlando location. Yummy in my tummy... Highly recommend
Cannot recommend this place enough!! Not only do they offer a wonderful vegan menu! Which is excellent by the way! Their staff goes above and beyond! Every waitress we had was amazing! Mariah, and Jessica!! They are super!! We will definitely be back every time we visit The Villages!
Just going down hill fast. Gets worse every time I dine in. Rude servers, terrible service, dirty dishes, things in my food such as other foods. Went yesterday with my kids. My daughter had green stuff on her hot dog and bun. They messed up my food and instead of making me fresh food, they used the same patty and brought it back to me with the same fries. Hamburger was dry and tough. fries was warm. The thing they used to make my shake in, they brought it to my table with extra in it and it was so dirty I was just shocked and disgusted that they would even bring it. Would not recommend.
