I love the food at Golden corral but like everywhere else except our paychecks the price is keep going up! Also, they really need to get somebody continually cleaning up so that the food is not slopped all over the place around the service areas, that gets kind of gross and unappetizing! The fried chicken is among the best I've ever had!

Bathroom for women was quite gross. Food was fresh and cooked well. Our waitress was awesome. Front end didn't handle the flow of people and drinks well. When asked to speak to manager about bathroom he was nowhere to be found. Staff literally couldn't find him.

yummy food, and at times not crowded..you have to hit it at right time of Day.

Okay. Comparing Golden Corral to a top-of-the-line eatery is like comparing filet mignon to a Big Mac. It is what it is. That is not to say that a very well-done Big Mac doesn't deserve recognition. But when your already-modest expectations are not met, well... We dined at Golden Corral in The Villages today, arriving at noon. A summary of our experience: PARKING: ample. Its large lot can handle a full customer load: we got there at probably the busiest time with the restaurant nearly full, and there were still plenty of parking spaces available. AMBIENCE: The Golden Corral is no-frills, plain hot food slung in buffet no-nonsense fashion. You pay upfront: you order your drinks, get your tray, and take it to your table where the waitress brings about three plates per person in anticipation of repeated trips to the chow line. Drinks are replenished as needed by your wait staff. The place is clean and seems to run well: they serve a lot of people in a comparatively short time. However, professionalism (as much as could be expected in such a place) seems to be lacking. A woman who appeared to be a hostess, judging from seeing her circulate among the tables talking to guests, was engaging in boisterous horseplay with a couple of guests and at least one other waitstaff. Most people didn't seem to mind, but more than a few looked askance at the antics. It may have been all in good fun but it was offputting, to put it mildly. SERVICE: Decidedly lacking--which was a surprise considering that in our previous two visits to Golden Corral, the service has been quite good. The people collecting the money at the door were competent and friendly, but things deteriorated from there. Our waitress (Breanna, according to the card left on our table) cruised by several times but neglected to pick up our used plates or notice that our water and coffee cups needed replenishing. The person bussing tables saw that we needed coffee and replenished it without being asked, but Breanna had to be asked--twice--for refills, and then neglected to respond to our "thank you" when she did bring it. It was totally offputting. Counter service was spotty. The guy cutting and serving the ham and turkey was nowhere to be found when I reached that part of the line, and three steaks (which I understand he was also responsible for) were sizzling away on the grille with no one in attendance. After a few minutes' wait I tired of holding up the line and moved on. Overall, service was the weak point of the visit. It should have been (and in fairness, usually is) MUCH better. FOOD: About what you'd expect. It is a buffet and the food reflects that; heavy on the carbs during the first part of the line, and with meat dishes heavy on the chicken and pork. They did serve beef pot roast but it was somewhat overcooked and dry. The pork and sauerkraut (one of the main reasons I go there) was delicious. However a lot of the trays on the serving line, especially the meat dishes, were empty or nearly so: a buffet restaurant charging "dinner" prices at a time when lunch prices are usually in force should be far more tuned in to the fact that if people are paying a premium price, then they should be getting the best the restaurant offers. And empty trays are definitely NOT that. COST: $35 and change, excluding tip (which based on service was minimal). Not out of line if the serving line kept the food stations full and made sure the service staff performed their jobs, but as this was all too often NOT the case, then we did NOT get the value in service and in food that we paid for. BOTTOM LINE: Maybe--just maybe--we were at Golden Corral on an off day. But a restaurant charging (for what it is) premium prices, should have the A team on the floor and should make every effort to see that the food offerings that made the price "premium" were constantly available. This unfortunately was NOT the case. Would I go again? Maybe. But definitely NOT at a time when "dinner" prices are being charged for something less than "lunch&

We arrived around 3 PM. It was very crowded. Lots of good food on buffet. Excellent staff. Kept buffet stocked. Server was great at keeping drinks filled, dirty plates removed and clean plates on table. Best service I have seen at Golden Corral in a long time!

Today is 2-22-22 came in around 1:25 left around 2:15. So me and the wife came to in hope for a classical GC experience but we didn’t get that in terms of food. The warmest thing I had was the burger off the grill and although warm ( not hot) it was burnt and dry. Most of the chicken was good flavor but cool and mid warm at best excluding the fired chicken which was very good. Fish terrible, pot roast warm on top cool in center. Pizza dry, most sides were meh at best. Brussels sprouts were decently warm . The desert bar was alright for the most part didn’t like the state of some of the hot deserts that looked like a dry river bed after an 18 month drought. My favorite was the salad bar . Soup bar I didn’t wanna to touch it. Wife said things would be amazing if everything wasn’t cool or barley warm. For me this wasn’t worth the 27 bucks. On a positive note the waitress were extremely polite professional and pleasant to talk with and were very helpful!

Very good selection and variety of food choices. The pot roast is the best ever! This is probably the cleanest Golden Corral I been to. Soft n fresh rolls. Just all around good ol fashion foods.. Wish they had spring mix for the salad bar instead of just romaine.

The pulled turkey and gravy was so so so salty I could not eat it. Even the regular gravy was way to salty!!!, You should not salt anything you supply salt and pepper on the tables. For people who are being conscious about their salt in take can not eat at Golden Corral. I will not return

This Golden Corral is always good with fresh food. They've even replaced some items upon request without hesitation. My daughter goes just for the cotton candy and they've never disappointed at this location. Friendly staff too! Safe as can be environment for Covid times, with gloves located on each food bar.

Had family meal. Of course prices are going up everywhere. Glad to are this open but think the precautions good be better handled. Why the ropes??? Doesn't make sense to me at all. Gloves and mask at the food sure. But the ropped off area just d**** Good food, good staff, same as we expect when we go there. Little bit if everything, I take a spoon full of everything. That's the best way in my opinion. Thanks for taking a moment to read!
