they have no hand washing sinks, they use the dish washing sinks as prep sinks and they don't use gloves. the ovens and stove tops are filthy. they have no idea about food safety, or if they do they ignore it. hot sauces get immediately covered and put in a refrigerator that doesn't maintain a safe temperature. if you eat hare you have a good chance of getting food poising and should you definitely alert sumter county health department. the county should shut them down until they comply with all health codes
Very good Italian food. Friendly, efficient service. My wife had the stuffed shells. I had Penne Giovanni’s. Both were very good with good portion size. This is a casual, family-owned place with very reasonable prices.
I've been coming to the villages to visit family for the past 20 years and this is the first time eating here. Our server was Michelle, very nice. We all had great food and service, and i don't usually write reviews, but when you have a great meal and service it's always nice to share! Thanks again Michelle.
Had a great dinner tonight at Giovanni'sA true taste of Italy here in The Villages. The clams linguini was excellent and my wife had the salmon with shrimp!!!A new reason to come more often.
We ordered through Door Dash as there weren’t anything but National Chain pizza places that would deliver to us.Pizza came in under an hour as stated. It was honestly delicious! I would order again for sure!Pizza 1: Pepperoni and Green PepperPizza 2: Mushroom, Onion and Green Pepper
Wow, what a wonderful lunch we had today. The cheese pizza was delicious, the crust was great. We also shared an antipasto salad that was full of meat, cheese, olives lettuce and fresh tomatoes, it also came with garlic knots that were to die for. I also need to say that the service was excellent!! Can't wait to go back!!
Big portions of great food. Decent prices. Fast service. In a shopping strip mall. Plenty of parking. Best pizza I've had in a long time.
Came here for second time and wanted to try something different on a week night when not so busy. Seated promptly when arrived. Spotted something being served that caught my eye and asked waitress what it was. Found out it was a specialty item called calzone. We placed order for large one that we split and also got recommendation for their small Greek salad. The salad was amazingly tasty and full of flavor and was served with their house Italian dressing. The calzone was remarkable as well. A very large serving and we were very happy all the way around. Our waitress was remarkable as well. We shall return again in the future.
Ordered half white half regular pizza with toppings. The entire pizza was without red sauce. When I picked it up, I was told it was under the cheese. Asked for extra red sauce and was given enough for one or two pieces of the pizza. Attitude of person at the cash register was poor to say the least. Nasty more like it.
Only got the pizza and the calzone and found both very good, just the right amount of toppings/filling, but if you are in a hurry, don’t be. It took what seemed forever to receive our pizza/calzone. There are a lot of take out orders which take time obviously. Those that ordered pasta dishes like spaghetti, received their salads and meal much quicker. Small 1 topping pizza was like $11. That was two meals for me. Been to Roberto’s (his brother’s establishment) and prefer Giovanni’s better even though Roberto’s is closer to where I live.
