Tried to.go to harvest and who doesn't make enough prime rib??? So end up at bluefin and it went south from there. So they get cheap and buy crap syrup for their drinks, no whiskey rocks or as they think they are called craft rocks. Slow service and changed dishes which are not noted on the menu. Overall. Disappointing. Could be down to only a couple consistent go to places and then we stay home. Tired of pretend quality restaurants that actually aren't. The villages is loaded with pretenders. Bluefin is headed there
Husband and I came here for a late lunch today. Ariel was our server and she was delightful. Service was good, who I presume to be the manager greeted us during our meal and made sure everything was okay. The star of the show was for sure the Pina colada. Very good. I have a shellfish allergy and ordered sushi, which was good because it can be more challenging to accommodate that, especially with sushi. The sushi was fresh, I grew up on the coast, and know fresh fish, and it was fresh as can be, not a flaw. The atmosphere is upscale and clean. Husband got the gumbo for an appetizer, which he liked, and fish and chips as meal, which I also tried and it was nice and light and fluffy, not greasy at all, which is hard to do. Fries are also really good, possibly double fried, but especially crispy. My only suggestion to this place, which is why I rated 4/5, because I do think there is room for a tiny bit of improvements. The ladies room could have been cleaner, there were rouge toilet paper rolls, (this could be due to staffing issues, and hey the most important part of the experience is most certainly not the restroom.) We also got a bread plate was dirty, and although minor, is a big no no in my book. The biggest improvement however I think would be taking a little bit more risks with the menu, from what we had, everything was excellent but exactly what I expected. I wanted and hoping a little bit more surprise and a little bit more unique options. Totally understand that this place is in Brownwood in the villages but myself (20something) would love to see the chefs create something exciting or actually spicy. We will definitely come back. Thanks for a lovely lunch. Photos: sushi (blue fin roll minus the shrimp) Pina colda, and fish and chips.
My wife and I dined here while visiting The Villages. Did not disappoint. Everything we ordered arrived to the table warm and fresh. The appetizer and entrees were very fresh tasting and had an original flavor. Unfortunately we didn’t leave room for dessert. Definitely will be back again when in the area!
A friend had recommended BlueFin Grill & Bar. We had the most incredible fried fish I've ever had and no that is not an exaggeration. It was fried haddock and it was plentiful. Such a nice big portion as you'll see in the pic. Their tarter sauce and coleslaw are also amazing. When I go back, it's going to be so hard to deviate and order something different. Our server was also amazing. She was fantastic and I'm so regretting not remembering her name (so sorry about that).
We were visiting family and stopped in for a bite. The hostess and server were cold and rude. The hostess seemed to have an attitude as soon as we walked in. We'll we were interrupting her gossiping with her coworker and on her phone. So I guess that was our fault. LOL We arrived at the late part of the evening, so I did take that into consideration. But still, no excuse if you're running a business. The fish my spouse ordered smelled funky , so we returned it and got something else. The wine was rancid and so we asked for another bottle. The server took it upon herself to order a random bottle without informing us what brand and the cost. It still wasn't very good.. When we received the bill we discovered it was on the more expensive wines. To top it all off, the server was taking the bottle before it was empty, there was still one glass full of wine left in the bottle. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY There are plenty of other restraunts not affiliated with FMK restraunts, they're all the same.
This is one of the best seafood restaurant I have been to in a long time. The Haddock just melts in your mouth. It had a mango sauce over the top that was so good. The dish came with grilled asparagus and rice. Just delicious. My husband had Parmigiana encrusted tilapia with rice and asparagus that was very good as well and my mother had shrimp in garlic butter sauce with pasta. Very good as well. Our server Steve was excellent. He had a nice sense of humor and recommended some excellent dishes and dessert. He was so professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening because of him. We each enjoyed the crème brûlée. If we lived here we would certainly come back. The Manager stopped by our table to make sure we enjoyed the evening. It was very nice to have refreshing conversation with him. We were treating mother for a late Mother’s Day dinner and we were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We really enjoyed our evening thanks to these two people.
The staff placed a signed birthday card on our table and offered a free appetizer (yours when you join their E club) as well as a complimentary slice of cake complete with candle, but no tableside singing (thank goodness!) Food here is very good and staff accommodate requests to amendments to suggested items with no problems. (I did not want rice and they offered to double the asparagus. Yes please! :) The bar serves up respectable drinks -- my cosmos went down very smoothly. Management are always on the move, checking to ensure that all is going well. We both had fish --coconut filet for hubby, crab cake for me. The restaurant is beautiful and has a lovely vibe, It manages to be both a dress up a little place as well as a blue jeans sort of place. We love it.
Delicious good with very friendly staff... Great atmosphere.,. Very lively.. very fun... We sat outside it was amazing... We could hear the live music in the square... If you prefer; seating is available inside... Well worth it..
I had dinner at Bluefin with some friends who live in the area. The restaurant is in one of "The Villages," which is a huge retirement community. Parking was a little tight as the location is in a community center area with a number of restaurants and an outdoor park area. We did not have reservations but were seated immediately (inside) on a Thursday evening. As the name suggests, the menu is primarily seafood. My food was fresh and well prepared. Our server was very good. I thought the prices were reasonable, particularly given the current rate of inflation. I'd go back.
Sunday brunch was good, server was professional very nice. Good service. Outside seating was busy and crowded. Inside no wait time. Prices reasonable.
