I went on the brunch cruise yesterday! The food was good and the vibe was good but there was no live dj. My whole party was very upset as we got a notice the day before about no live dj. The house music was boring. I don’t see myself or my friends going again our whole first time experience was ruined.
Excellent food and friendly staff. The captain and crew went above and beyond to make the perfect proposal happen at sunset.

We held our wedding reception aboard Starship III on 5/22/22. It was an absolutely WONDERFUL experience from start to finish. The booking process was simple, and Christine and the team were very helpful when explaining the different packages. They worked with us to modify docking so that the boat departed from and returned to our ceremony site (Florida Aquarium) and made it much easier for our guests. Rachel Knight, our on-site coordinator, was simply phenomenal. She was warm, friendly, and amazingly efficient. The day-of details seemed to go off without a hitch (or if there were hitches, we didn't notice or know about them!) Rachel also took the time and effort to go above and beyond - I lost my mother a few weeks before the wedding, and Rachel coordinated with my fiance to have a framed photo of the two of us made so that Mama could be there in spirit on the big day. That kind of consideration was truly exceptional. The food was wonderful, our DJ Paul made sure to hit our request list and work with us to be sure everything was what we wanted, the serving staff was friendly and made sure we were taken care of...it was just overall a wonderful experience. The waiter ruined the whole experience. As soon as we sat down, we asked for bread and the waiter said " sorry we don't have any". OK no problem. Then...ten minutes later we see him bring bread to other tables. We had to wave him down and ask AGAIN for bread. After watching everyone else get their food he actually came up to us and asked "did I take your order"? We were the last table to get our food. We asked for well done salmon and it wasn't. Sent it back and it came back the same. It was so bad we got up and left. Everything was paid prior so didn't think much about it. Only to be stopped before exiting the boat by the waiter asking for a tip. Really? Tips aren't mandatory and especially since he did such a poor job. I gave a tip. but i regret it.
My 1st time experience on StarShip may be explained differently from others, I traveled with, due to the extreme, extreme cold temperature of our dining area. The food became instantly cold, for those sitting under the vent. After three attempts at getting turned down for a drink because she had orders in front of me, I decided no drink for me. I had a delicious vegetarian meals, kudos to the chef. The staff was very accommodating, with the that one exception. If I were invited back, I'd come, looking for a different experience.
It was a beautiful Valentines Day dinner cruise. The wait staff, especially David, went above and beyond to make our night special. The food was beautiful and absolutely delicious. On the top deck, there was a DJ that played great music and we danced under the sunset and then under the stars. Jeff had flowers sent to the boat and they were presented at just the right time. Jeff asked me to be his wife and I can't think of a better place for him to have done that. My Jeff, the staff, and the venue were just perfect!
Fun, amazing waitress , great cruise if just drinking, but if anyone from your party cancels they hold your money hostage for what they call 'store credit' I consider it stealing but whatever...So I have one year to go back or... They take my money. Interesting business model, money for nothing.Unlikely I'll be back, let alone within a year.Food was typical catered wedding type stuff, not bad, not great.So if you're going, drink the premium stuff at an upgraded cost.Their "free" well drinks.... Well you get what you pay for.
The VIP dinner cruise was fantastic! I surprised my wife and the Yacht StarShip Cruise took care of all the details starting with a red rose on the table, a delicious meal, and music and dancing on the top deck. I was a night to remember!
My wife and I were so happy we went for her Birthday. The staff was friendly and the brunch food offering exceeded our expectations.A really nice suprise that set the experience off really well was that the food was ready as soon as you were allowed to board. So we had enough time to basically finish our food as the boat was launching, so for us it was more like a 3 hr cruise vs 2 hr advertised sail time. They even suprised her with two pieces of complementary delicious desert for her bday.Additionally, they only advertised all you can drink mimosas for $10. I am not one to drink sweet drinks so was suprised to find they also offered the same deal for bloody marys (I had 4 :p). Our server was very attentive, and I happily tipped extra. There is a $5 gratuity per person automatically added, but dont be a cheapy and make sure to tip especially if you get drinks :pBecause the food was served early we enjoyed the boat ride mainly from the sunny upper deck where they had djs playing and another bar upstairs. Highly recommend getting there early to take full advantage.This was a case of undersell and over perform. It was 3 nice suprises, in a good way that really exceeded our expectations and kicked off an amazing birthday vacation for my wife and I. Our next visit to tampa, for sure will do this again, we highly recomend.
