I was staying nearby while in Tampa for 5 days & came here twice. Both evenings were busy but the staff kept it flowing smoothly. Robert was the bartender both times & my server on the 1st visit. He was efficient, knowledgeable about beer, friendly & fun. Even tho I’m 60+, he was bantering with me whenever he was nearby, which I think is refreshing & shows his character. WOB has a very nice selection of beer on tap with more in cans & bottles. Notably, they have an impressive array of local beers. Robert asked what I usually drink & suggested a Cigar City red that was very good. I also had a flight of local brews, but went back to that Cigar City - it was so smooth & quaffable. Food wise, I tried the beef barbacoa & shrimp tacos one night & the Loaded Taters the next. All of it was surprisingly good. Overall, I definitely enjoyed my visits to World of Beer. They are walking distance of 5 hotels, have a very nice covered patio & the breeze was definitely appreciated. I highly recommend WOB. Not only will I gladly return anytime I’m in Tampa, I think I’ve found my hangout there.
Love the burger Monday deal! World of beer has an amazing burger. Definitely one of the best in Tampa bay in my opinion. Thick patty and flavorful. All the appetizers delicious. I have been back several times.
OMG! Absolutely the worst service I have ever received. First I ordered a can of beer and asked for a glass with it. Our server, Julianna, delivered our drinks without the glass. I asked again for a glass. We watched as she went to the computer area by the bar. She rang something in and then proceeded to engage in conversation with other employees for several minutes. She then went to another table. In the meantime, as my beer was getting warm, I went to the bar and got myself a glass. Five minutes later, she went behind the bar, grabbed a glass and engaged in more conversation with a bartender. Finally she came to the table with a glass but, it was too late, I had one and was well past the first few sips of the beer. She then took our order without writing it down. My husband ordered a cheeseburger but instead got a bacon burger, no cheese. Another server took it back to the kitchen, not Julianna, as she hadn't bothered to check back on our table. In addition, we never received a visit from a manager after receiving the wrong order. Instead, Julianna came to the table with a plain burger, once again the wrong order, no cheese and it had chipotle mayo which my husband specifically asked to omit. My husband picked at it anyway as we had to get to the airport. She never took any responsibility for the mess up and as such never apologized. I asked Julianna if I could have a cup of coffee and she replied, “Oh, I think we’re out of that” and that was it, end of conversation, no coffee (not that I believed that for a minute). Julianna later delivered the check and unbelievably, there was a $2.00 charge for bacon. When we brought this to Julianna's attention her reply was so unusual. She said, "I get it." No Julianna, I don't think you do. Some people just should not be in the hospitality business. She was void of any admission of error, discourtesy, or regret. The whole experience was so inhospitable, unfriendly and unacceptable. We will be exchanging this experience with others for some time.
Food was excellent, Staff was friendly- "Styles" was very friendly and attentive. We had a pleasant conversation.
Great sports style bar - very friendly service within minutes of walking in, good atmosphere/very busy but with space at the bar etc for walk-ins, also has a nice outside area and a balcony.Pricing is good and the beers are excellent - perhaps my only issue was that the tacos were about as average as they looked, however the wings were excellent. Would certainly go back
I love this place. Great food, alot of selections. Try the giant pretzel. A mindblowing number of choices for beer. Create your own flights.
I was actually disappointed. I loved the space! It was great, especially the outside area. However, the food and drinks were disappointing to say the least and I had a variety of food. The Mac N Cheese balls were awful. They tasted like fried noodles, no cheese flavor or seasoning. They would of been better off making a box of Kraft and frying it. The spinach dip also lacked in seasoning. The pretzel was “ok” but it was cold, along with its cheese dip. My nephew had a burger which looked to have that same Mac n Cheese patty on top which he bit into and immediately took it off. The only thing food wise that was good was their truffle fries. I ordered their house margarita and it bad as well. Super sweet, lacked tequila flavor. I found out later that they pre make their house drinks. I had them change it for a Washington apple shot — just stick to beer.
Great service and the chimay burger was outstanding. Nice selection of beers -of course !

My family and I were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to give WOB a try. The menu offered plenty of choices and the food was good. We enjoyed sitting on the "flight deck" and watching the planes land at the Tampa airport. Would eat here again, next time we're in Tampa.
