Willie Jewell’s is a real gem. After years of driving by we finally popped in for a quick lunch. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We took home peach cobbler for dessert which we enjoyed very much . Outstanding staff!! We will be back! Best hush puppies in the Bay Area!
We love this place. All the food is great and you want to go back the next day. We have eaten inside and drive thru too. Both experiences have always been superb. All staff are very courteous! Our favorite BBQ and sides restaurant. L♡ve this place!♥️
The restaurant definitely has a comfort feeling. The food is great and fulfilling. I personally love the lean brisket or grilled chicken breast, because I'm on a low fat diet...however you can get your brisket moist if you'd like.The restrooms are exceptionally clean, John the manager is a great and friendly guy. And let me tell you, the sweet tea is some of the best in town.Worth checking out ???
I like eating here for lunch. Right down the street from me. Food is great. Everything on the menu is good. The hot bbq sauce is the best
LOVED LOVED LOVED This place was named Willie Jewels OLD SCHOOL BBQ! So I knew it was going to be good and it did not disappoint LOL the old school was shining through when we started with the fried okra and ranch! And they had the hushpuppies like my nana used to make. My friend had the three meat 2 side platter with ribs, pulled pork and sausage, green beans and yummy macaroni and cheese and a piece of delicious sweet cornbread! I ate some is however my Bo hog/ I think that's what it was called/ sandwich was so delicious it was pulled pork with sausage and cheddar cheese in between which was really good and I got it on garlic bread so it was extra good! And my baby ordered the original favorite barbecue sandwich of America I think LOL the pulled pork you can never go wrong with a pulled pork sandwich and their barbecue did not disappoint of course, it was seasoned right and cooked right and juicy and good. I did want to say that the baked beans were great but they are the baked beans that have some barbecue meat in them so be ready! They have four different barbecue sauces but the Sweet and Sassy barbecue sauce is the one to go with by the way. Anyways yes this is my new favorite barbecue it was delicious and will definitely be headed back soon.
Great BBQ. Everything is fresh with good servings. We were looking to eat at a small restaurant and so glad that we chose Willie Jewell's. We have picked up dinners to bring home several times after our first meal. If you like good old fashioned hushpuppy's, than this is a must try.
I visited the Tampa location and only purchased sides and peach cobbler. The Mac and cheese wasn't good, it tasted like Velveeta store bought and the peach cobbler crust was doughy and raw, not cooked. The baked beans were ok. Overpriced for small portions. I will not go back.
…and everything was still piping hot when we arrived home. My husband got the combo platter and the smoked sausage, brisket and pulled pork were all excellent - tasty and tender. I had the hamburger and it was cooked as ordered. The fries were delicious. Nicely done!
food was really good and my office orders from here alot. today will be our last time ordering from you all the lack of disrespect on making things right by the manager was disgusting. my coworker placed her order online through YOUR WEBSITE as we all did and paid online like the rest of us they claimed they never recieved her order yet they took the money off of her card which the transaction clearly said willie jewels on her bank statement. And they refused to give her the food that they charged her for! very bad bussiness on your part! management was very rude also!
Manager cuts brisket long ways and not against the grain. Doesn’t understand what lean is and serves half fried fries. Staff makes excuses for him and his sloppiness. Basic training will teach him how to cut a brisket and what lean means. Wasted our money to hear excuses and throw away the trash served to us
