Usually a good restaurant, not good response from management when things go wrong. Service was good.
I’ve heard so many great things about this establishment, I thought I’d experience the same. However, I did not. Aside from the food, everything else was below average. In terms of customer service, it left much to be desired. We had a reservation for 4, got there on time, and still had to wait another hour before getting a table. I completely understand having busy days, but not one person assisted us initially or let us know how long we would have to wait, we had to continuously inquire. Our service while dining was extremely rushed, it made us feel like we had to hurry up and finish our food for their next customers. Even upon paying, as we were grabbing our card out we were hit with an “any day now” comment from our waitress. I find those things very unprofessional and hope that no one else has to experience that, especially when they are out to have a good time with family. Highly disappointed, would not recommend. Spend your well earned time and money elsewhere.
We chose this place mainly for the view and we were able to enjoy a great sunset sitting outside. I ordered the corvina and it tasted pretty good. The amount of food though was way too little given the $30+ price. My boyfriend ordered the seared tuna and pasta. The pasta was very dry and bland. We told our server about this situation when he came to check in with us, which was 15 min after the food was served by the way. We didn’t receive any apology or any compensation other than “I will tell the chef about this.” We also waited about 10 minutes for the check. And what’s funnier, we weren’t given a pen for the check… The two stars are for the environment and the corvina. But for the price, we are expecting way better service.
The flat bread, appetizer and drinks we had were great. As well as the service. But our entrees.... Were HORRIBLE. We all had fish. The Swordfish was clearly frozen, way overcooked and absolutely NO seasoning. The other fish was also frozen, undercooked and smothered in some kind of.. BBQ sauce??? The key lime pie was a very small portion. At the prices we paid, I expected top quality.
Great drinks, tasty food, and the view was great. It’s one of those places you go to when family and friends come into town. Make sure you make a reservation!
The kids had the flat bread Hawaiian pizza it was delicious.I ordered an Old Fashioned. It was pretty good, not quite perfect; I had to request a few cherries that brought it rather close to perfection. Our waitress was great!
Wonderful experience! Great food, super nice wait staff and cute environment.
While staying at the Marriott Waterside my wife and I walked over the Watervue for lunch and enjoyed it very much. Located on the waterway we had a lovely view (hence the name of the restaurant). Warmly greeted by the hostess we sat inside along the large window as all outside seating was taken. Our server was nice and professional and knew the menu well and answered all our questions. My wife ordered the Caesar salad with added grilled chicken and I opted for the Smash Burger. Both were excellent. Wish we had time for a return visit during our short stay in Tampa, but for sure the next time we visit, Watervue with be on the list
Excellent! Had a wonderful lunch at this great venue right off of the water. Excellent food (conch fritters, Bae Bae flat bread and crab cake sandwich) with friendly staff.
This place has so much potential but fails to execute every single time. I recently dined here and was served a raw pork chop and had to send it back. Everything is mediocre at best when you compare with the prices they charge. I did however give them an extra star because the outside views of the water are great.
