The menu on the website does not match the menu at the restaurant. The build your own pasta @ $18.95 listed on the website menu was nowhere to be found on the restaurant menu. I paid $24.95 for spaghetti w/ meat sauce & a salad was not included. Add the $7.95 salad, & I paid $32.45 for my extremely over priced pasta dish. The restaurant was hot inside. The food was delicious.
Went 7/30 Saturday night to this # 1 rated Italian place in Tampa. From A person of Italian heritage from the NYC metro area bruschetta B, main course chick eggplant Parma at $25, no eggplant in site smothered with Mozzarella slab rate it a C. Frozen dessert a no no. Service staff VG. Food and bread C average. Sorry to report, A meal I would expect at Carrabas
WOW! The family feel of this restaurant was incredible. We experienced kindness and a genuine care for us as guests. Along with that, we had a phenomenal dinner! We ordered the specials - lamb shank with fettuccini Alfredo pasta and the lobster ravioli topped with shrimp. Our daughter got the butter bowtie pasta and she loved it. We finished our meal with espresso and tiramisu. My wife and daughter were each given a rose (2 each for that matter - 1 by the owner and 1 from our waiter). It was a very sweet gesture! Our experience as a family will be one that we will not forget. Thank you!
Great ambience woth excellent food. The multi-talented waiter played guitar and sang when the piano and took a break (swoon). Ladies received a rose upon departure. Memorable dinner for sure.
The food was delicious. My son had penne alla vodka with chicken and I had the best chicken piccata I've ever had! We also very much enjoyed the piano player and at the end of our meal the waiters started singing along with the piano player which was a lot of fun!
By far the best restaurant experience I have ever had!! Not only was the atmosphere, the ambience, and the cuisine absolutely perfect but the service, the hospitality, and the emotions were well crafted. The food, 5 stars// gnocchi pesto to die for went two days in a row just for it; the peppernero filet mignon, godlyMy fiance and I were personally serenaded to for our anniversary. It couldn't have been a better caveat to end the night. The house wine suits the style of the dinner perfectly would highly recommend, or for white wine the sauvingon blanc 2020 was very refreshing.Grazi
My name is Johnny Battista, I have been in the restaurant business for over 40 years,so if you want to have great tasty and fresh Italian cuisine,Vino E Pasta is a must, and the owner, well that is something,he is wonderful, I can attest to that, I have been there many times. Buono Appetito.
Was on a family trip to Tampa Bay when we decided to try this restaurant. Was a smaller restaurant, but the dining room had a great atmosphere. The lasagna and wedding soup were both excellent, we asked extra bread to not waste any of the sauce. Definitely will be coming back if we are ever back in Tampa.
Without a doubt the finest meal I have ever eaten, at a restaurant or in the home of Italian family! Everything about this meal was so good it is hard to describe in words. The Pollo piccata was so good I literally found myself taking smaller bites in an effort to extend the enjoyment! The owner was incredibly gracious and posed for a photo after this wonderful meal. The bruschetta, Caprese salad, and the tiramisu were also absolutely magnificent. No wonder this is the number one restaurant in Tampa!! I cannot wait to eat here again!!!
I've eaten all over the world. At age 72, it's fair to say I qualify as an expert eater. Last week I took my son to Vino E Pasta to celebrate his 30th. birthday. We didn't know exactly what to expect, but we liked the look of the place online. Well, you could knock me over with a feather. From the outside the place looks like an old shop of some kind, but once you walk it, Italy embraces you. The owner is old-school polite, kind, but not fawning. He takes enormous pride in his restaurant and assists with everything, from pulling out a diner's chair, to clearing tables, to explaining recipes to filling the room with love. As for the food, what can I say? My son and I want to eat there every night now, but since we live in Boston and Vino E Pasta is in Tampa, the drive is too far, even for a mecca like this. You can always tell a great restaurant not by the quality of their specials or signature dishes, but by the everyday plates, the bread, the coffee, the pesto, the red sauce, or what they call pink sauce. It's all just so delicious. The dressing on my Caesar salad was to die for. I don't know what they did, but it was more flavorful and piquant than any Caesar dressing I've ever had. And I can't tell you how polite and friendly, without in any way being intrusive or obsequious, all of the wait staff were. And upon leaving one of the waiters opened the door, stood outside, and wished us well as we made our way to the car. I love this place, and I will never forget it! Gracie, Vino E Pasta!
