Husband's birthday was phenomenal with card and confetti on table. Amazing dinner and Wine followed by dessert with candles...Wait staff was Top Notch

I enjoyed myself at The Capital Grill for my birthday. This is just one way to enjoy a day but a good meal is at the top of my list.
My reservation was made as a celebratory dinner for a family member who recently graduated from USF. Capital Grille made it a special occasion with a nice table decorated with a graduate theme to the thoughtful gesture of a complimentary desert for our graduate. And of course the meals were excellent as well as the service provided by everyone. We had a wonderful evening!
We "dined" at lunch. Great food, great service, and a leisurely-paced meal. Awesome espresso martini.
Brian was our server and did an exceptional job at helping us out and answering my questions. It was my wife and I first time there.
Food was very good as usual. Smoked bacon and Lobster/ Crab cakes delicious appetizers. Porcini rib eye for me, rib eye for my son, filet mignon for my wife and daughter. Sides of truffle fries and scalloped potatoes were excellent. Also, had the asparagus but we didnât enjoy. Very thin and very stringy/fiberous . The gals always have to have the cheesecake for desert as itâs their favorite and it didnât disappoint. We also ordered the flourless chocolate cake and it was good. We usually have pretty good service here but found our waiter to be slow and not very attentive. Seemed flustered. New, perhaps? He didnât pick up menus after we ordered, they stayed on the table for quite awhile. My wife was the only one drinking wine, I had beer and my kids are under age but he left the wine glasses on the table until after our main course was delivered.. Also our used bread and appetizer plates stayed on the table. We were seated on a 4 top table so it started to get too crowded. We had to prompt the waiter most of the time. So service this time around dampened our dining. Weâll probably be back again but still find, overall, Flemings a better dining experience
Fantastic - one of a kind - restaurant! Incredible atmosphere and first class service of gourmet meals. Not your everyday steakhouse, going to Capital Grill is an incredible treat.
