This review is long overdue! Tazza is easily the best Turkish food in Tampa Bay Area and I wouldn’t consider it too much of a stretch to say ALL of Florida! I love Mediterranean food and regularly try new places and go out of my way looking for different Mediterranean restaurants when I’m traveling and I have yet to find a place better than Tazza. I’ve tried a variety of things on the menu and have loved them all. My go to is the Beyti Kebab or the Iskander. The appetizers are a MUST! The pilaki, spinach pie and Turkish yogurt are my favorite. The pita bread that comes with the appetizer is a joy all on its own. It is the best, toasty delicious goodness. I could seriously go on about this place for days! And I haven’t even mentioned the frozen mint lemonade which WOW and the kunafe for dessert is just the way to go. The hardest part about going to the restaurant is that I legit want it all and I just can’t! If you’ve been debating trying this place out DO IT! It’s small and sometimes the crowds might make you want to go elsewhere but don’t. It’s worth the wait.

Took the family for a night out. It was amazing ‼️ The people were so nice. The food was presented like gifts from royalty. The music was pleasant and soft. All customers walking in and out spoke and while there felt like family too. We all laughed, drooled over everything that came out from the back. I spent a good $100 for 3ppl but it was worth every bite, laugh, and family feel. Thanks for having us‼️ it made my Friday night memorable . Sorry I didn't take pictures I was enjoying my time. Definitely plan on going back,I will add photos.

Based on a colleague's recommendation, I asked Tazza to prepare several dishes for a party at my house. I ordered hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, rice, pita, and stuffed grape leaves. I was expecting to transfer the dishes out of travel containers...but when they arrived (we picked up from the restaurant), they were so beautifully arranged and sauced, I didn't dare touch them. I just served them in their pans. Every morsel looked, smelled and tasted fresh and delicious. I just read another review mentioning a poor experience with the owner. My experience was the opposite--he was easy to work with and very pleasant in all my contacts with him. Sorry that one bad day can ruin someone's reputation. I didn't dine in, and the place is very, very small. But, for takeout for a party, Tazza was a slam dunk.

Food was really great. I didn't eat outside, but the seating outside had super comfortable chairs. Everything was clean Nice vegetarian selections if you do not want to eat meat. Main dishes were big portions. It had a casual atmosphere, but priced sort of high for that vibe.$22-24 a entree with no pita or side salad, plastic cups, no small plates for shared appetizers, help yourself napkins, is slightly steep. It does taste fresh and homemade, I hope I paid for that, and wasn't fooled. :) There was one bathroom and the door lock is broken. I gave it 4 stars for how delicious everything tasted. I normally take pictures of everything, but we hadn't eaten all day and it 4PM. I honestly was so hungry we ate the second it hit the table. People were in and out with to go orders, it seemed really popular for takeout. I wanted to take more inside photographs, but there were customers and I didn't want to be rude.

The owner is extremely rude and egoistic. Had the worst experience ever at a restaurant. The food is actually really good and when I went there for the first time last week with my husband and friend, we realized that the customer service wasn't good at all and the owner of the restaurant was very quiet with an emotionless face, doesn't greet or talk to customers. We gave him the benefit of the doubt that he is just busy so maybe he didn't notice slamming the plates on our table and not acknowledging the pita bread that fell out of the plate as he slammed it. My friend thought the owner was rude but I kind of backed him and said no I think he's just busy and didn't mean to be rude. I really did love the food so today I asked my husband to go there again. It was iftar time and probably everyone seated there was fasting including me and my husband. Cups of water and a bowl of dates were quietly served to the tables on our left and right but we weren't asked if we needed anything. He then was busy trying to plug in the tv when we tried to get his attention to request for water as it had already been 10 minutes after iftar. I am still giving him the benefit of the doubt at this point, until he came up to our table and picked up the burning candle (there was one on each table) and walks to another table with a couple girls on there to please them and smiles at them. When he clearly saw me enjoying the scent of the candle, I had it pulled closer to my face. He reached over my husband's shoulder and grabbed it. Thats the first time I saw him have any emotion on his face other than the emotionless stare. At this point we were convinced he is being rude to us or maybe ignorant and we weren't sure if its intentional. I didn't want to be rude and think it was intentional but I was also afraid of talking to him about it. There was a girl who took our order today who wasn't there the last time and she seemed nice so I talked to her about this and made sure to not accuse them of anything but only slightly express our displeasure with little events especially the candle that I actually enjoyed having there. Apparently, she went at the back and talked to the owner about it which hurt his ego. He came straight to our table and yelled, "I don't think you should eat here if you have a problem with me!!! I am the owner of this place why are you complaining to this girl you should leave!!" My husband immediately stood up because obviously this was extremely rude and unacceptable behavior. We understand the business has the right to refuse service but no business has the right to be rude to customers and then yell at them to leave. He also accused us of things we had never even thought about him! He then picked up a candle from another family's table and slammed it where we were sitting at!!! A pleasant couple went out to end their fast (us) and ended up being yelled at and embarrassed in front of many others to the point it made me cry. He has anger issues and he should not be running a business because he doesn't know how to. He should be ashamed of himself for his behavior. Again, the food is good and I like it but you can't get away with barbaric behavior and an ego that hits the roof.

We were looking for something different for dinner and did Tazza ever deliver. Martin was great to talk to while I waited for my order. And I have to say that the food was phenomenal! I almost never leave reviews, but this place is awesome, even my super picky 5 year old liked the food, which never happens unless it is covered in cheese. We have found a new place that we will definitely enjoy from now on.

The service is iffy recommend take out however, if you have been coming here a long time the gyro has shrunk everything on it is less and smaller. If it is too expensive right now a restaraunt should offer two sizes and have the expensive prices of today reflect. Some of us are hungry and when ordering a gyro expect a big sandwich of yummy. Still Yummy just WAY TO SMALL and hardly any sauce.

Best quality , best price , best shawarma and best Turkish food. The owners are very friendly, welcoming with great smile, made sure their guest get the best service. I would highly recommended. Great atmosphere

It was such a delight to find this restaurant. The food was delicious and tasted very authentic. We were made to feel at home and very comfortable. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

The place is very small but nice and looks welcoming. But when you get greeted by the host and his condescending attitude and responses kind of takes it away and leaves a bad taste. I don’t know if he was the owner or just works there and he’s having a bad day. But when you portrayed those kind of behavior to your customers it doesn’t look good for the business. We feel like we were rushed for everything. And towards the end, when we asked for the check he just brought the Credit card machine and show us the screen of how much we tipping him. We had to ask him can we see the bill first. Experience was completely horrible but food was amazing. It’s the only reason I’m giving a 4 stars instead of 1.
