Was on a search for authentic Caribbean food. (Tampa is nothing compared to south Florida when it comes to diverse food choices) However i decided to give them a try and i will try anything at least once sooo, its right infront of bush gardens. Food was ok, customer service was non-existent. From placing the order to pickup felt like i was being a bother rather than a valued customer. i value my hard earned money, and its nice to feel welcomed sometimes.. especially by fellow Caribbeans.. based on first experience visiting will not recommend, was not worth the drive, will not be back.
I must say, last year I met a wonderful lady who ran this Shop. Today, I visted with my family and was very dissatisfied with the customer service. An attitude adjustment is needed by the staff members. They were unwelcoming, which makes the customers feel very uncomfortable. It does not cost anything to be nice or to smile. Please work on this, because our support is what keeps you in business.
The mother had a nasty, stinking attitude and apparently her daughter inherited it as well. Swore off this place yeeears ago and have been warning everyone I can to do the same ever since. To be honest, I’m shocked and dismayed to find out that they’re even still in business.
Owners are beyond RUDE even the little girl working the register !!! Also why is the curry duck so spicy you can't even enjoy it. Honestly I don't think the owners put any love into the food. Which is so sad coming from Trinidadian people.
HORRIBLE, you can find way better customer service somewhere else.. 0 stars if I could
After Tara passed food definitely changed. Daughter is doing her best. Roti/other dishes Not the same taste of love, rudeness and spices lol I enjoy the sorrel & doubles though. R.I.P Tara and bless the family.
Food is Eccellent. But owner is Extremely Rude. She seems like she does not want to serve anybody. . It happened already 3 times.Next time we will see what happens..
Every time I make the mistake of going to this place, I encounter nothing but rude attitudes. They are rude to fellow Trinidadians, yet they are extremely nice to Asian and white people. This has been happening since before her mother died and has not changed. On top of that the food is not good... the pholourie and doubles is white white and the only roti you can get without pepper is the beef, which they don't even tell you. The last straw is when I took my family there and even though the 4 of us were spending lot of money, they were still extremely rude. They only want to be wrong and strong & that's not how you keep your customers. Thankfully I was able to find Caribbean Crown right around the corner from them. They are always kind and the pholourie is so nice and yellow & tasty.
We’ve been going to Tara’s for years her daughter has done an amazing job continuing the business never disappointed with our food.
My family was visiting me and wanted doubles as we frequently travel to Trinidad to visit friends they were craving it and we finally had found this place . The older woman behind the counter I guess she runs the place was so rude. Not even a smile or a hello as we walked in and there was no one else there . After a little bit other people had walked in behind us and she was just so rude answering “what” to customers and just the meanest looking face. Will not be coming back here again I’m huge on customer service and don’t like spending my money places where they are not friendly to customers.
