Was craving gumbo and found this little gem in my neighborhood on Google. The gumbo is wonderful and I look forward to ordering more items from the menu and Tammy makes an awesome Green Tea Shot too!!!
This place is SHADY-and DANGEROUS I was attacked by a woman here last night and left with a huge bump behind my ear from her shoving me to the ground on the patio and then she tried to attack me more when I didn’t fight back. Then she raged and tried to jump me and she had three or four people holding her back so she didn’t beat me. The woman committed a hate crime when she yelled at me (while shoving me to the ground) to get the fudge out of the country and that she hated Jewish people (I’m not even Jewish) and the bar kept serving her and her friends. This is the ghetto place of Carrollwood. I had two double drinks on two tabs because I left to go get smokes at Publix in between my two drinks. They charged me 34 each tab. I’m disputing fraud. I would have called the cops when I was attacked but cops usually take all drunk people to jail. I went today to look for cameras because I spoke with my attorney and they said go to the hospital and I could file a lawsuit for negligence on the bar since I didn’t know exactly who that woman was. That woman should be charged with assault and instead she was served more drinks. These are the patrons that frequent this place. Shady. I’m pretty certain there is some illegal background business here..stay awayAnd I’m still considering calling the cops to report that woman because she’s very violent and could have seriously injured me if my head hit the pavement instead of the edge of the chair. She obviously is a mean drunk, a bigot and could end up murdering someone with the rage she has. I prayed for her.
Avoid at all cost. Nothing close to real Cajun food. Place has no identity, Its a dive bar boasting award winning food that doesn't come close to delivering. Better off at the bar right next door
Used to love this place. Came in for a burger and Sunday football. Sweet tea tasted like the machine hadn't been cleaned in days and the burgers were mediocre at best. Not your best day, bud.
First time here, and very impressed! Gabe (bartender/server) was attentive and brought our food and drinks quickly. The classic Reuben was perfect with juicy sauerkraut and lots of beef. The wings were large, with extra sauce...incredible, putting many other restaurants to shame. Will definitely be back!
I was just here recently and they claim they have the best wings but coming from someone who loves wings and have been to almost everywhere who sells wings, this place was not the best. I bought 4 types of wing sauce, tabaque, medium, garlic, and hot. I wasn’t happy with any of the flavors. The wings were soggy and white at the bottom when I picked them up. They were flavorless or too spicy and no flavor. They were not enjoyable. The only thing that seemed to be tasty was the small garlic bread and their 2x fried French fries. I was very disappointed after viewing the advertising about have the best wings and the environment they advertise through pictures. When I walked in on a Saturday night there was only 5 people in the WHOLE restaurant. They make it look like it’s always packed here and that their food is bomb. I was so disappointed. 88$ worth of flavorless 5 food items. INCLUDING A KIDS ITEM. I will never come back here again. If you want to know where the good wings are at, I’ll give you several locations. Take it from a local.
Had Classic Burger and wings, both were great!!! Will absolutely be back.
Been here several times and I have had the Oysters, pretzel and beer cheese, fresh made pork rinds, the wings are killer. The Crawfish Etouffee is fantastic and my wife says the wedge salad with the homeade blue cheese dressing is the best ever. The owner Norm and his staff never disappoints.
Small place, doesn't seem to get too crowded honestly. Friendly bar tenders, and good vibes overall. Nice place to watch some sports if you don't want to be in a crowded setting.
