We ended up eating lunch here on my birthday! The place was empty and I was worried but the food was amazing! Fish tacos off the chain & the Mexican corn was delicious!!! Give this place a chance!
So I took my husband here after his procedure at Moffitt. He was starving and wanted tacos. We went in and it smelled like propane so bad, it slightly made you dizzy. We ordered and sat and waited on our food. We got our food and it tasted okay, about half way through our meal my toddler said she had to potty. So I walk her to the bathroom and as we go inside there is a sticky tile on the floor that had fallen off the wall. It's sticky side up and COVERED in cockroaches. They need to be shut down until it's exterminated. So disgusting, I couldn't finish my food because of the thought of roaches everywhere. I am a restaurant owner myself and this is completely unacceptable. Do better!
When you order a chimichanga you expect meat. When the menu says choice of protein you expect a protein and maybe an upcharge for steak. But never would i have expected to pay extra for the the mushrooms in a mushroom empanadas or extran for the ground beef in a chimichange and burrito. The staff doesnt explain anthing to you a meal for my husband, mother and myself added up to 49.87 thos is ridiculous. I am crossing Taco bus off my places for a meal.
Long time non stopping on this location… me & wife stop here cause we was in the area so my wife says let’s get some tacos from taco bus. She order a few tacos & I have the burrito bol. No complaint with our food cause the presentation & flavor was really good, the rice from my bol feels like was not so well cooked but still have better flavor than Chipotle or Moe’s. My only complaint is the place as soon we came in have an notable bad smell not sure is from the plumbing pipes or mold & the poor cleaning condition of this store. I understand that this store is not in the best area of Tampa but the owner should be on top of this place cause the bad smell of the store & the poor conditions of the floors, bathroom, etc doesn’t invite to eat here. Please fix this cause you guys have a great product & this details can push away customers.
Usually the food is okay during lunch time. This time I went in the evening, and it was just horrible. I ordered the ground beef tacos, and my goodness WHY WAS THE MEAT SO DRY AND FLAVORLESS! It tasted like it was left out all day. I almost vomited! How can you screw up a simple taco.My husband ordered the chimichanga. There was barely any meat; just a huge amount of rice and beans... the meat he did have was dry and disgusting.I was going to return the tacos and request them be remade, but nevermind, I won't return. That was just too bad for a redo.
Steak tacos w/ chz, lime, & cilantro on corn tortillas....were AmAzInG! Service was fast and friendly & wait time on food wasn't long at all.If I'm in the area I will be back.
Usually really good! They've messed up my fiance's food a couple of times. Besides that a really good place to eat, especially on Taco Tuesday

Literally awful, the ladies who prepped our food had no gloves on and was such a gross restaurant all around. The food was not good - go to an actual authentic Mexican food truck nearby - they’re much better .
Other Taco bus locations in the Tampa area are spot on especially when it comes to uber eats services. I guess because customers order online and the workers decide they can careless about the orders being placed. First time I ordered on uber eats I ordered a soda that cost me extra with my large burrito order and the rice and beans were extra and both were not in my bag when I got my delivery and I was charged for it. I ordered the second and third time and the same thing happened each and every time where they forget my rice and beans and soda. The food is always cold and never hot. This location seems to be the only one with these problems and I like taco bus but this location needs a whole turn around
