The employee working there was RUDE as soon as we walked in the door. We were the only ones there so, no, this guy was NOT STRESSED. He didn’t even try to be friendly. No hello, welcome, how can I help you. I had received an email that had a coupon for free chips and salsa. When I showed it to him, he made an annoyed face at me and said, very rudely, “my manager isn’t here and I don’t know how to do that.” We proceeded to order. Got our receipt and noticed he charged us for an extra cup. I tried to tell him what happened and proceeded to ask for a refund of the cup. He became VERY DEFENSIVE and started arguing that my husband asked for the extra cup. My husband explained that he originally asked for the cup, but then had asked the employee to change it to a combo instead. The employee yelled, “well you should have spoken louder!” Things progressively got worse from there and a full argument with how he was mistreating us followed. HE DID NOT CARE HOW HE SPOKE TO US. I asked to speak to a manager and this employee said he was gone. I told him I was going to send a note to his manager about his attitude and he responded, “I don’t care, go ahead!” I promptly asked for a full refund and we left. This guy SHOULD NOT be anywhere near a job that requires working or serving the general public. I will NEVER go back to Taco Bus again after today. I also noticed that this is the second bad review of a rude employee at this location in the last month. Sounds like management needs to fix this issue real quick before their business gets ruined.
Times have changed for the sure. Truly sad that this place turned to Mexican quick serve and is now so commercial. You used to get authentic Mexican dishes here. They also used to serve real drinks. Maybe the day I went was just a bad day in the kitchen. My burrito was so small. I'll give them another chance soon. The Lutz location is truly amazing. Go serve Emily for an overall amazing experience. She changed my mind about Taco Bus. She deserves a gold metal award for customer service and appreciation. To all best. Wish we had Taco bus in Sanford. Definitely a must whenever I am in Tampa. Never had anything I didn't thoroughly enjoy!
We ran across this place strolling through Clearwater. Food was great. The staff was helpful on recommendations. You get a lot of food (I got the bowl) so we didn't need the extra side of chip. The guac was good. I would definitely return. The whole family gave it a thumbs up.
Errored out when ordering online. Called and was told to call back because he was trying to call his boss because they didn’t have change. Decided to just go to the location and order my food. When I get home I had everything. However, I ordered quesadillas with everything on them and there was nothing but meat and cheese and the chicken was dry. I repeated to the cashier what I ordered and he remembered and was very rude. There was no cabbage or pico as I requested. His exact words were “ FIRST OF ALL WE RAN OUT OF PICO!” I asked him why wasn’t this brought to my attention when I was ordering so I could decide if I still wanted it. He stated “ I DIDNT KNOW UNTIL YOU LEFT!” My issues is, the chef knew and should of made me aware. Not just serve me something I didn’t ask for. I ask for the managers name and he gave me a name but stated he didn’t know when the manger would be in to speak with me. His tone and attitude were very rude and I will not be returning. Hire someone with customer service skills!!!
This used to be a great place to get burritos. I don't know what has happened but after the last few orders here I am done. This is supposed to be 1 of 2 double steak burrito prenadas. We paid for 2, got 1 and was told when we got home that was on us so yea.. okay should have checked the containers myself. BUT,the one burrito we got had no meat at all. What's really sad is I would have paid 3 times as much on grub hub. Iim done with Taco Bus in this location.
Lazy staff and no apology or refund available when we received our bowls with no black beans, no jalapeños or guacamole (that we paid extra for). We had also order a side of chips and queso. We got our order and this was nowhere to be found. I asked the employees where it was and they went into the kitchen and said “oh, we’re out and have to make some.” So they were perfectly content to serve out order without an item that they didn’t have and were going to let it slide if we hadn’t said something.Bathrooms also filthy and no paper towels available.The food we got was decent, but everything seemed very prepackaged and not authentic. I’m hesitant to ride a negative review because of the staff, however it seem to be a management problem, so I think the manager or owner would want to know.Food was good, the location & the atmosphere was good. The staff person, gentlemen taking our order at the cash register was semi-friendly, not very helpful when ordering, overall seemed a little annoyed we were there at about 830 on a Friday night, once our order was placed it took about 40 minutes to get our order, two cooks in the kitchen area didn’t seem to know how to prepare and the guy at the cash register was running back-and-forth after taking orders & trying to fulfill orders in the kitchen, The two kitchen guys did not want to work and it was obvious they were annoyed at the orders coming in. After we received our order we did not get 2 shrimp tacos, after explaining to them they were missing they said it would take about 20 minutes to prepare, after waiting another 20 to 30 minutes and ask him numerous times about the shrimp tacos the two guys in the kitchen again annoyed to have to prepare them and they were able to prepare them in less than 6-8 minutes, The cash washer guy was trying to apologize however none of them seem to be excited to be at work. I asked multiple times for a refund because at this point everyone else had eaten except for my wife who was waiting on two shrimp tacos, they were not at all interested in refunding any money and offered five shrimp tacos in place of the two that were missing however now we’re an 1.5 into the dinner and everybody else had eaten and we were ready to leave, we took the shrimp tacos to go and left, overall it was not a pleasant experience due to the bad attitude of the staff and lack of staff.
Taco Bus is alway great warm friendly and inviting people that work. Always clean place to eat in or sit out in nice air. Everytime I've tried something new it's always fantastic and flavorful. It's a place everyone should try.
