We got there 15 minutes before closing and they still were very accommodating and friendly. We had no wait and the service was excellent. We really loved the sushis (Black Widow and Cleopatra Roll) we ordered. Cleopatra roll had a nice kick to it and tasted very fresh and clean.
If I can give zero stars I would for horrible service. I paid $75 for sushi and asked for spicy mayonnaise And had no problem paying extra for the spicy mayonnaise. When they Gave me the spicy mayonnaise it wasn’t even halfway filled so I asked them to at least fill it all the way for me. The manager walked by and Said we fill it for the portion we charge you for and if I want it filled all the way I would have to pay again for the spicy mayonnaise. I’m sorry I don’t mind paying extra for the sauces but you don’t even fill it halfway and then you wanna charge me double the amount to fill it all the way that makes no sense. It’s not like they charge a cheap amount and $.75 per container and I bought two.. The food is very basic that’s why I need the sauce to cover up the taste.
Sushi was absolutely wonderful. Super tasty. I am not one to complain about service because I’ve been in the industry for many years now but it was pretty nonexistent. Only saw our server about 3 times through the whole experience. She was very busy & I don’t think it was her fault whatsoever because they were extremely understaffed and I think she was the only one on the floor. Also, in the bathroom the toilet seat was broken and there was no toilet seat. For how expensive the sushi was it seemed a little weird to me.
This place was soooooo delicious!! Destiny was our waitress and she was so sweet. The sushi fries are a must try if its your first time coming. They are really filling. Sushi rolls are really big. The place is really cute. The place is really cute too. Highly recommend.
We’ve always driven past Sushi House in Ybor and have always been interested in dining there. There would always be a lot of cars. We finally got takeout there last week and we thought it was really good. The rolls had a lot of flavor (like they were marinated) and the fish was fresh. My favorite was the Candy Cane roll. My only gripe was that the menu was very limited and the rolls were on the more expensive side. For example, the spicy tuna roll was around $9. I would dine here again though!
This was my first time at Sushi House and it was so delicious!! I had the crunchy sushi which was amazing and our waitress Karla was very nice. I love sushi and this is by far is the best I’ve ever had in a long time. I can’t wait to go again. ?
My father and I had a wonderful time! The staff were super friendly and did an amazing job. The food was delicious and the menu featured many creative and unique items that you'd never find at other restaurants. Highly recommended!
Very good sushi. We loved the No Joke sushi and the sushi fries. The server was multi-tasking, so not as attentive as normal. But grace has to be given when there's only 2 or 3 people running the entire place. She was very sweet.
First of all, my review has zero to do with the food. I have visited this place twice in the past month as it has become my favorite sushi place. Tonight, (Saturday, April 2nd) I drive 30 minutes to get an order to go. Upon arrival, I was greeted and told she would take my order in just a moment while she drops off someone's check. She comes back and proceeds to take my order. I misspoke with a firecracker roll with 'dynamite roll'. She tells me they have no such roll and grabbed a menu to try and find the one I was talking about. She asked a server that was walking by and the server told her they were not doing any takeout orders because they only have one chef and are understaffed, apologized and sent me on my way. First of all, WOW! Is this a way to treat a customer that drives 30 minutes to get food from your establishment? Interestingly, if I had chosen to get a seat, then, magically, you are fully staffed and can fulfill my order? What happens if my order gets to my table and I need to leave? Logically speaking, this makes zero sense to turn away a customer whois trying to order the very thing that you serve. To claim you only have one chef tells me you ARE understaffed, but even more hilarious, I would not be occupying any of your seats and my sushi would still be made in the order I arrived, whether seated, or not. My average check has been $112 for each of the two visits I have been in the past month. I thought I had found my new, favorite sushi spot. Apparently, they don't want my business and will be treated as such. Expect a zero average check next time because there won't be one.
Great sushi!!!!, awesome service!!, the food was sooo good, the Ybor Cali is the bomb. I will be back. Carla the waitress was super accommodating.
