The view is amazing and t he service was too! Good Menu
Hostess said they did not have my reservation and refused to honor it when I showed it to her on my phone. On top of that, she was extremely rude about what was clearly their mistake. Save yourself a headache and book somewhere else.
This place was very nice. Good scenery from almost any table. It was too windy to take advantage of outside seating to catch the sun going down by the buildings but the overall atmosphere was good. Food was much better than some previous reviews mentioned. But this is my 1st time here so maybe they have since improved from the prior complaints. Me, my wife and the other couple with us all enjoyed our dishes.
Loved the roof top view of the river. We'll definitely be back for a drink or dinner.
Booked a reservation for outdoor seating. Arrived for our reservation and was told we couldn’t be outside because it was booked for a private. Ok fine. Outside was completely empty. Ok whatever. Waited forever for the server to come…. took forever. Finally ordered our dinner. Got our dinner. Cold steaks. Delicious but everything was cold. Lack of attention from server. Had to get my own silverware and napkins. DO NOT RECOMMEND, especially for the price. $300 bill for a cold food and lousy service.
Good experience with the outdoor dining area. Servers were very attentive and the food was good. As we walked through the restaurant & bar areas it was very loud, noisy from people having a great time it appeared. We prefer a quieter setting with some views, so the outdoor seating area fit the bill. Much easier to converse without having to yell at each other at the table. The views were better outside also, much of what you'd expect at a rooftop experience anywhere near the water. Not the most vast menu in Tampa, but what was offered was very tasty. We ate shrimp ceviche, scallops, ribeye steak, salads & drinks. All excellent. Great place to hangout with just drinks or have a full dinner. Good stuff!
This place is stunning and the views are breathtaking, the issue is the food. The food just isn’t as good as you would think. The food here is very very subpar and not up to standard with the decor of this place. The prices are high but that is understandable, but the food here is just downright horrible. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS, THE FOOD IS NOTHING TO RAVE ABOUT AND IT NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT UP TO STANDARD. This place is giving rooftop restaurants in Tampa such a horrible name.Make sure you EAT BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. Other than this.....the place is excellent.
Very Nice View...the only thing.Ok we paid $97 for 3 hamburgers? , the problem isn't the price. I am OK paying for something good.Details:The hamburger was cold, taste was horrible. OK no taste at all.Fries: cold too.Salad: looked old (dressing was good?♀️)But again, if you want to have a good view, go there. But eat before in another place.
Spent $100 for lunch on a Sunday for below average food. Burger and chicken meatballs were overcooked. The drinks were nothing special. Nice set up with a pretty view, though. If you are staying at the JW Marriott, we can understand why you would be eating here. However, if you are a local, there is no need to come given all the better dining alternatives in Tampa. Fool me once…
This is really hard for me, with having mixed reviews. In love rooftops in Tampa. This restaurant has potential with it's wonderful views. Unfortunately it's food does not match what you would think it can offer. First by being a JW Marriott and thinking of it's standards, and then being in Tampa a city that is growing in popularity in the culinary world. Ordered chicken meatballs, good. someone ordered the burger, fantastic. I ordered lamb chops almost $40, they brought me beautiful steak knifes to select from, excitement grew, I see my big plate coming last to the table, then the shock and awe came of discuss in seeing the world smallest lamb chops and one was cut wrong. I actually thought they brought me the wrong dish. The chops Laying on top of a bed of chopped mixed veggies. Flavors were even off. It was my anniversary dinner so I held back. I looked at the knife they brought me. The knife was thinker then the chops, I ended up laughing. I buy and cook lamb chops often for my clients. You're not going to survive on a good burger alone as a restaurant.
