not good - Ordered Mutter paneer for to go but curry is not at all cooked. Peas are all raw not at all cooked. also they forgot to add salt in curry. Not sure in what kinda hurry they were in. When I visited for pickup restaurant was empty there were no customers still they were in some kinda rush. Not going there ever again
Love love the food from Satkar. Extremely nice staff and they get the food ready SO FAST. I order in my food and my husband Alex goes and picks it up and he loves going to Satkar (super nice staff) and I absolutely love everything I’ve ordered from them - thali, dosa’s, biryani and many more!
Yummy we enjoy food, we love it ?
Wonderful people, amazing food. There is no place like this. It has been here for years and the food is positively delicious. Vegetable dishes, curry, Masala are unbelievable. It’s amazing to think this little place has been hidden here for years.
I saw a negative review below and coincidentally, I had pretty much what she had and my opinion is the opposite...!! This used to be Udipi before and the Sambar was like water. They have rectified it and chutney was great. A very pleasant experience and I will be back to try the non-veg offerings..!!!P.S. I'm South Indian....?
I think this place is pretty solid overall.-I usually get the dal makhani, which has just a small amount of cream and is mostly loaded with lentils/kidney beans-The Chana Bhatura has a good amount of chanas and the bread is warm and fluffy even when delivered-Paneer Tikka masala is tasty, but uses a little too much cream. They have a pretty good selection of vegetarian/non-vegetarian options overall. Also, all dishes come with a decent amount of rice.
The food was not good at all. Never ever try the papri chat as there was papri at all.(broke pieces of papadum) We ate dosa but the coconut chutney was rotten and smelling badly. The sambar was limited and it's only a small bowl (50ml). The environment was shaddy. The person who was serving was not polite at all. Overall the experience was not satisfactory and disappointing.
Please help yourself and do not go to this place. In my many decades of adulthood, this was the third worst place I had eaten. Last two ones were almost 15 to 20 years ago. I am Indian, I cook Indian food though I am not a cook and have tons of friends and family (both North and South Indian). I eat Dosa almost always outside, once a month, many times at Hindu Temple. Since temple was closed and three of us (friends) wanted to keep our monthly Dosa lunch "Meeting", we ended up at this place. We ordered Mysore masala Dosa (A bad thick roti with tasteless potatoes for almost $10), Paneer Tikka Masala ( I doubt they know how it should taste), Rava masala dosa (barely eatable), Chicken 65 (They forgot to bring for a while until we reminded them - you can eat it if this is the only meal you can find for 50 miles), and we made the mistake to get some food packed for the family at home. The service was horrible, they didn't even come to refill the water. They charged us for tea when they forgot about it altogether. The coconut chutney with the dosas were watery and strange taste (when it starts to go bad). The Sambhar had no trace of any vegetable, just toor dal water with sambhar paste. When no one was there to bring water, then you can't even ask them - is this you call Sambhar. All in all - I give it to the cook who having not really having much skills of cooking is still finding job in the restaurant - I know market is tough but please hire a proper chef, if you are taking money and running a restaurant. If I am hungry and starving, unless I am not getting food for few days and would die otherwise, I would not go to this place.Adding in response to the answer from the restaurant - Wow, should I praise your guts. You know what we call this in Hindi - Chori and Seenajori. We went to your place very much in person. Which temple you are picking up free food from? I guess you have never made it to the Hindu temple of Florida which is not even 10 minutes from your place. Please go there and buy Dosa for $7 and understand how Dosa and Sambhar and Chutney should taste. You are selling some uncooked Uttapam/Roti in the name of Dosa for $9. Running an Indian restaurant and have no idea of Indian food and temples?
It has changed and food taste is awful. Ordered tomato soup but got tikka masala kind of liquid with added red color.Ordered Vada, Mysore masala Dosa and paper dosa, it was not tasty and not authentic and not good at all. Hindu temple canteen is the best for Dosa and Vada in Tampa area.Took veg thali and very disappointing taste and quality.
We enjoyed the food. Ordered Gobi Manchurian, fried rice, rava dosa and puri. Fried rice was awesome. Dosa with sambar was very good, chutney was oily. Great ambience, good food and nice people. Would definitely recommend.
