Large portions and fresh but the air quality is poor

They have great Dominican food. My family and I had a great time, the service was quick and the staff was super nice. Even, my picky eater said he loved this restaurant. I definitely recommend going there. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner which is great.
Will not return to this place. I don't like to leave bad reviews, especially if is a small businesses, but this place has really gone down hill from the first time I tried it. Really bad experience with their meat, you can tell it was old meat, with new sauce to mask the taste, I got sick from it. Hope someone does not end up suing them, this is no way to treat a loyal customer. The platains were being handled with bare hands.
I stopped by with my daughter and the food amazing. I got salami, cheese and mangu. I love it
Probably one of the worse mofongos I've ever had. Dry, virtually flavorless, with the exception of the abundance of old oil flavor. The carne frita was hard, dry and flavorless as well. We all ended up throwing away most of the food and I hate to waste food, but it was not edible. This place use to have decent food, but this is now the third time I've had the same issue. Going to try the latin restaurant next to Publix on Waters next time.

The food is amazing, easily the best Dominican / Latino food in Tampa and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Makes me feel like my own family ?. If you’re in town and want to eat food that makes you feel like your grandmother made it — Sabor a Merengue is it!!
Not a place we'd go back to. The mofongo was lacking flavor and dry. Even in PR it wasn't always easy to find great mofongo. When we went the place was empty, so it might have been bad timing.
Wonderful little place with great service,homemade food and extremely reasonable prices....yes it may be different but give it a try you won,t regret it
