We have always loved Rick's. The food is great and last night was no exception. Service, however, was almost non-existent. They weren't really that crowed, but you could tell they were short staffed. I understand that these are the times we live in, but to be ignored when the server walked by the table multiple times. I will be back, hoping the yesterday was a fluke.
On the waterfront dining with great food to boot, kinda hidden away but worth the search! Went with the special grouper bites an a I enjoyed every bite! Go eat and just kick back and watch the boats go by! Was hoping to catch the live music but had to go!
Excellent waterfront place! Don't be afraid to order everything! We tried several apps and the fish dinner and enjoyed EVERY bite! Great service as well. Looking forward to going back soon!
I love Rick’s. The service was great! The food was horrible! The fries were cold & mushy, turkey reuben had a lot to be desired. I wanted a fish sandwich, but the fish came from Asia meaning it was farm raised crap.

We came in for lunch and to check out the possibility of doing some pirate gatherings. Tempi was our server and she did an awesome job! Good food and good drinks. We will definitely be back soon!
The food was so delicious and made how we asked. The drinks were also good. I love sitting outside and seeing the river as boats pull up! And our server Michelle was an awesome server!
Our first visit and we'll be back. It's a fun place right on the Hillsborough River with downtown Tampa in the background. Live music every day. Full bar, wine & beer. The food is priced right and very good. I had the fried oysters and they were the best I've had in years.
Ricks is a fun waterfront tavern with a fairly vast menu. Lots of seafood options, burgers, salads and outdoor bar. The staff is friendly and attentive especially Pam the bartender. She was super friendly and never let us go without a drink or help. I had the 1/2 Burger is was pretty darn good and not a pre-made frozen one either. Lots of tables and places to sit outside to watch the boats go bye.
