I encountered the epitome of ignorance. April 28, 2022 around 7PM EST I entered the lobby and noticed it was pretty backed up. I asked to find out who the last customer in the line was and patiently waited. I noticed the manager had no type of positive rapport with customers never issuing an apology to anyone about the delays and working with a frown as he slammed down drink cups. It took a long time to place my order, but I received my order in a normal time. I went to prepare my drink and the machine had no ice. The manager was the only person on the register so I asked a female employee that was the only other person in the front if I could have my cup filled with ice. She hissed, frowned, sighed and made all type of ignorant gestures to which I replied "If it requires all that nevermind". She said something smart and including that she was busy as if I could no see they were all working. I did not ask her to get it immediately, but when we made eye contact and she was a foot away from my face I saw no harm in asking. There was a bitter exchange and I asked the manager for ice and he was nasty and before he could stop serving attitude a nice female employee came around and filled my cup. Its unfortunate fast food gets low quality applicants like the manager and rude employee. The manager should have tried to diffuse the situation but he opted to show his lack of professionalism and everyone saw why his employee behaves the way she does, he is the exact same. The manager was a slender dark complexion male with medium length dreads and gold teeth. He should not manage people or even work in the service industry.
The food was fresh. My main issue is that you have an employee who is too; gosh dang focus on her cell phone. There were two young man doing their job while she was on the phone. Not only that she was talking out loud about how the floor looks in the lobby. However she wasn’t concerned about helping her fellow crew mates. Tried calling the store phone it goes to voicemail. Unprofessional.
Slowest drive through ever. I swear every time I go here each car takes 5 minutes to pull through.... Been sitting here 30+ minutes and still haven't ordered, now I'm trapped. Also expensive AF - every combo is over $10. Even a small drink or side is over $3. Not worth it
We went to this popeye at 11pm since its supposed to close at 12am. The lights were off but we could see employees and a lot of chicken. We went through that drive thru but nobody responded, we stayed on the window for a couple minutes and nobody showed up but we could still see the chickens. We pulled up on the parking lot and we saw 4 employees hiding from the window. We confirmed that it closes at 12am on the window hours.
Maybe I caught them on a good day. This was by far THEE best Popeyes I've had in very long time! The drive thru was quick and polite. My chicken was hot, fresh, juicy and delicious. Every single piece. The mashed potatoes were so good. I have zero complaints about food and service this morning. Yummy in my tummy!
Horrible service 22nd and Hillsborough Ave... Cashier taking orders was nice and apologetic but the female Manager should stay home with her attitude!Chicken was hot, small wings looked like Pigeon wings not chicken wings. I VOWED never to stop at this location ever again.
No senser of urgency at all in this restaurant. Plenty of food, workers and manager gave me the impression they don't love the job they are paid to do. Took me 30 mins to get a 2 piece combo with 6 people in the lobby, spent half of that time watching the crew slo mo thru their motions.
Don’t go here! Just drive a few extra miles to another location! Gave them 3 chances and they still failed ??♀️
