Food is good but I never get silverware or my extra sides of dressing or napkins, literally every time. It's weird, like they want you to eat with your hands and then wipe them on your jeans.Update: same situation except the food quality has gotten worse. I think they gave me food from last week that someone has been sitting on. I love pollo, but I'm done playin' with this location lol
I was thoroughly disappointed with the service at this location. Everyone seemed either confused or just unhappy to be there. Plantains aren't a side. Fine. Rice and beans are now two sides. Fine. No, I can't pay extra to change the chicken to the plant-based chicken on a salad. It's only available in a Tropi Chop. No, you can't get that much sauce. No I don't think you can buy a large container of it.If they can't figure out how to even ring up what I want, regardless of price, I didn't think they could actually carry it out properly. So I cancelled and left.
Good food. But every time I come here they forget part of my order. So as a suggestion check your order. Also they always seem to be out of stuff. Sorry no rolls . Sorry no sauces. Again good food just a little lacking.Update from 4-22-2022. So came back to give them another chance. Disappointed again. Food still good but overcharged me. When I asked for a veterans discount the guy gave me a funny look, then took a long, long time scrutinizing my ID. No problem with that but then he didn’t give the discount. When I mentioned to someone the guy who took my order came over and said, said, “what’s the problem….oh I forgot about the discount.” I know it’s no big deal but there was an attitude that wasn’t at all helpful.
Their Shrimp Creole tropichop is really good! It’s a great fast food lunch or dinner. You get a decent amount of shrimp and the creole sauce is a little spicy and very tasty.Just Don’t customize it or there will be an upcharge for more sauce or toppings.
DO NOT ORDER UBER EATS!!!!!!!!!I have had 3 consecutive bad experiences with this location getting my order wrong!!! There is no way to reach them to attempt to rectify the problem because no one will answer the phone no matter what option you select!!! So now I will proceed to leave my job, drive to the location to correct my order which COMPLETELY defeats the purpose of the CONVENIENCE of using Uber Eats!!! Horrible Horrible Horrible
How do you not have the food you advertise on your menu? Not having the food that you advertise as a “meal,” is unexceptable. Then, not having that same food, for a second time, on a different day, at a different time, is absolutely insane!!!! But, get this…. FIVE DIFFERENT TIMES they didn’t have the food they advertised on the menu…… FIVE……….. DIFFERENT………. TIMES…….. Nope….DONE! Mind you this was after waiting in line behind "only" 2 cars for approximately 20 minutes total!!!!!! you know "fast" food. And, ironically, when I have ordered this same meal from the much busier Waters Av. location, they had it EVREY TIME!
Pollo is chicken, right? I asked the lady behind the counter if they had chicken wings. She asked me if that was white meat or dark meat. Odd. I said white meat. She said yes. So I proceeded with my order which which included a salad and some chicken wings.. After she took the salad order she asked someone how to ring up chicken wings. The man working there said we don't sell chicken wings. Wow! I did not know wings were that complicated.
I’ve been hesitant to try Pollo Tropical again. Unfortunately, my expectations were met. This place is terrible. The cashier did not know their own menu when is in front of them. I got charged way more than what I ordered. The steak was super bland, the chicken was super dry I mean really dry. The place is not kept clean. I should’ve listen to my gut and stayed away. I recommend the same
These guys are horrendous. I mean, the base product is good and tasty but the service sucks. The staff makes you feel bad if you don't know exactly what you want: like you should have memorized the menu. And they always (been there 5 times) mess up my order: get a side wrong , or forget the sauces etc. If they could manage the place better, it'd be five stars
The two times I have ordered the chicken soup, the chicken is no where to be found, there are very few vegetables, and no plantains. Also, the order of cheesy yuca bites is tiny for the price you pay. Flavor is great, but way too expensive for what they serve.
