Delicious food! The falafel was super crispy on the outside; the kebobs were tender and well-seasoned. I usually take photos to show quality but we enjoyed the meal thoroughly before even thinking about pics. My husband picked up, remarking that the lady at the register helped double check everything.
Love it!!Honestly every time I come here I always have the best experience ever!! The food is so delicious each & every time! My hookah is always on point. And just nice vibes in here.Also I love how here they give you pita & zaatar for the table.The only reason I’m giving this 4/5 is because parking here can be a struggle. It’s so narrow and it usually always packed. But it’s so worth it! They renovated it too & now the back it’s like really cutesy & what not with the baby lights. The price of the food is decent too for being in south tampa & it’s a great portion.
Wonderful lunch at Petra. Welcoming wait staff, very comfortable dining room and fabulous Falafel sandwich & fries.
First of all I have to mention , foods are delicious and perfect! However, service is awful. Waitress took my order and we were just people. She kept us waiting almost 15 minutes just to bring bread. I don’t know her name but she was taking care of very well of big groups of people but didn’t take care of just a one small table. At the end we had to ask a waiter to bring our foods and bread. No planning to come back again! Online orders much better !
The best Mediterranean spot in Tampa… food is fresh and delicious and generous, clean hookah, and extremely friendly and family like. My favorite place to come relax and eat!
We found this gem and keep coming back. Food is great. We recently ordered the family boat and it was very good and filling. They also offer hookah and tea. Only reason for 4 stars is because of the service, there’s no one ever really around to seat us and to take our orders, once they do take our orders you have to stay on top of them because they’ll forget items. Overall really good and still recommend for middle eastern food.
This is my second time here and they never disappoint. The service is great and the food is even better. I don't like hummus but Petra is the only place that makes hummus that I just love and eat it up.
Me and one of my best friends came here to enjoy the good vibes, but we were completely blown away by the hospitality that Mouhammad showed us. He had a fire ready and blankets to keep us warm, made sure we had everything we needed. He was prompt, courteous, professional and entertaining. Definitely a dope spot to check out here in Tampa. Ps, try the chicken shawarma!
Including takeout, I’ve eaten here a few dozen times since moving to Tampa and it has been my go-to for Middle Eastern food, along with Byblos.I won’t be returning, however, at least anytime soon. After a great dinner, the card machine was down when it came time to pay. I didn’t have cash, so I waited about 20 minutes while the employees tried to fix it. No luck, and since I had no cash, I left my card and asked them to just run it whenever their machine started working again and I’d come back to pick it up later (I live about 10 minutes away).Anyways, I get a notification that the payment went through an hour later. I returned and picked up the card. When I walked in, an employee laughed and joked that they were fixing the wifi, and that’s why the card machine was down. He said it will now be even better the next time I return. There was no discount given, no free piece of Baklava (or any small gesture) or a real sincere apology. Mind you, this place is about $20 a plate, and took an extra hour away from my night between all this.End of the world? Absolutely not. But I’ll be directing my business elsewhere after tonight’s experience.
You need to try this place if you haven’t yet. My friend and I both loved this place. Our favorite meals were the falafel plate and the Petra mix grill, make sure to try them. It tasted very similar to what we had back home. The employees were very friendly and sweet and our server Raneem was a top notch. They also have an amazing outside area, we could not sit there due to the weather but make sure to sit there when it’s warmer. I highly recommend this place
