My family and I were in the Tampa area recently and wanted to try a gourmet doughnut shop. We looked some up and came across this little gem. Although we arrived just as they were beginning to close up shop, we still managed to grab a few tasty treats and, we were NOT disappointed!My only regret? Not being able to visit again before we left the area.Hands down, some of THE best doughnuts I’ve ever tasted!
Donuts were fantastic. Now we know where to get donuts anytime we are in Tampa. We purchased a large variety, the Strawberry Shortcake was, so far, the best. Although, my wife loved the croissant donut.We met the owner, friendly guy. The place was very clean, this was an excellent shop. If you have never been, what are you waiting for?Thank you for the donuts and we will see you for Iron Maiden ??
First time stopping here and I have seen this place for years. I just wanted coffee and my wife and I ended up getting 2 donuts and coffee. We will be back and I will recommend this place for donuts and their house brew coffee.
Pay for a Box Really? I went there because the donuts are good. But when the worker started putting the six donuts I ordered in a paper bag and I asked for a box she said it would a $1.50 for the box. I have never been to a bakery anywhere that charges for a box to put the donuts in. Shame on you! Very disappointed.
Nicola's is the most amazing donut shop in the Tampa Bay Area. You will surely be pleased even with a decent drive to this well-known establishment. The service and management is amazing and the donuts melt in your mouth. Our office loves the Apple Fritters, Cinnamon Rolls and 1/2 croissant/ 1/2donut - anything deluxe. My personal fave is the guava filled donut. Bottom line, even if only a seldom treat, or something for your staff at work or church, they are delicious...Neil
Loved these donuts. Thought their Cronut and Fried Oreo donut were exceptional and worth the one hour round trip. I will be back soon to try more varieties.
This is a Tampa gem!! Incredibly fresh donuts and Diane is amazing. If you like supporting small business, you have to visit! Cronut and the peanut butter cup are two of the best!
I drove 40 min to get to this donut shop. When I entered, the delicious smell of dough and sugar greeted my nose. I am a donut fanatic, and have been looking all over the Tampa Bay Area for a good donut. What is considered a good donut you may be asking? It is a donut with perfectly risen dough, that isn’t overly sweet to balance the sweetness of the icing and/or toppings on the donut. That, in my opinion defines a good donut. I’ve been to so many places around and the dough is simply not good. They are either too sweet or have an odd taste. When I tried Nicola’s donuts, I had an amazing experience. I had finally found the perfect donut in the Tampa Bay Area, after many failed trips to other shops. The donut was balanced, had great icing flavor, and amazing dough flavor. Everything was perfect. I also enjoyed the iced coffee. This will be my go-to donut shop. Diane was also incredibly sweet and kind to my family. Thank you so much!
I Challenge you to find a better Donut shop in Tampa Bay. Fresh hand made donuts in all the flavors you expect and some you didnt!Get there early because they'll sell out.Try the Cronut!
I’ve been to most donut shops in Tampa. Nicola’s is still, by far, my favorite. I remember going to Nicola’s with my mom when I was little, & am now carrying on that tradition with my daughter. Her Friday morning treat every week. They have a wonderful variety, made fresh every morning. They make different flavors, while also keeping with the traditional favorites that everyone loves. As hard as I try to just get a few, I always end up getting 1/2 or whole dozen because it’s just that hard to choose from their awesome selection. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
