Let me start by saying the place was SUPER CLEAN, had a great atmosphere with angelic Christian music playing in the background tolerable for non-believers or believers. I had the shrimp and grits, greens and yams. The shrimp and grits were good, grits were thin which didn't mesh well with the heavily seasoned sauce but the shrimp was cooked to perfection. I would order it with little sauce/gravy or atleast it on the side. Yams were boiled, slightly sweetened and chopped thickly, similar to canned yams. Greens were seasoned for the Gods though. Don't know if there was meat of any type in it but good none the less. Sweet Tea was meh, unappealing, slightly sweetened, wouldn't get it again. Staff was amazing. Checking on me just the right amount of times. Support small businesses!!
My family and I were in town and decided to support a Black-owned establishment. We tried Mr. B's for brunch. Our server was patient and attentive. I was impressed with the menu as they had several plant based options. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the catfish which he paired with grits and mac n cheese. My daughter and get cousin ordered the honey chicken and waffles. Both said the dish was filling and flavorful. My first two choices Hot Cauliflower and the collard salad were not available. the Black Bean burger I selected was an EXCELLENT option. I added a little jerk sauce from my son's chicken strips. Plant-based heaven on bread! The food was great all around. I have to also recommend the strawberry lemonade as well as the peach cobbler. Flaky, doughy, crispy and the perfect amount of sweetness
My husband and I had the shrimp & grits and oxtails which were both amazing! We had the fried okra for an appetizer which were also great. Not only is the food great but the staff and service was top tier as well! My husband and I greatly appreciated the hospitality. It’s a must to try their strawberry lemonade! Will definitely come back to support this restaurant in the near future.
Great atmosphere but slightly overpriced. It was clean dine in. Customer service was top tier the food on the other hand I was slightly unimpressed the chicken Mac and peas was absolutely disgusting and the first order of chicken wings were a little under cooked but the fish and grits were delicious the over all first experience was okay I definitely will give them another try
Food is delicious, but that Peach Cobbler reminds me of momma. Great staff.
The homemade lemonade was amazing! And some of the best Chicken and Waffles I’ve ever had! Definitely recommend this place!

Incredible!!! Traveled here from Detroit MI by way of Fort Worth TX to visit my Dad for my birthday. We fully enjoyed our experience the breakfast was Phenomenal. Staff was amazing great service and smiles (even through the mask). Awesome management surprised my soon to be wife and I with an early wedding gift. Great home cooking, I got the turkey wings and rice!! OMG!!! The wings melted in my mouth, so tender a flavorful, not over the top with spices just enough. The collard greens were on point, Mac and cheese was awesome!!! I'm into fitness and this was my cheat day while on vacation and it was well worth it! Ya gotta try this place. You won't be disappointed!!! ????
I'm from out of town. Called a friend who previously lived in the area and got the recommendation. I was not disappointed. Mistakenly, I got there about 30 min. before closing and was not rushed or pressured to eat and get out. Great food with good sized portions. Excellent service. Would highly recommend!
