Waitress very nice and very informative told me of 2 for one margaritas well I choose a pomegranate margaritas for 11.5. I took a picture before I took a drink. She forgot some of the cocktail. What would john taffert (bar rescue) say. Tasted good. Here from Wisconsin
Food was great the atmosphere was very relaxing and the host was beyond amazing. His smile and energy was the very pleasant. The drinks came out it I was definitely surprised with the size for the price. I had a margarita and burger with fries. Santiago was our server and he was superb. He was amazing and we will definitely be back.
Used to be a great place. Went back to enjoy dinner, sat for nearly 20 mins, and no wait staff felt it necessary to take a drink or meal order. Asked the hostess if we should order at the bar…she said someone would be right there. Unfortunately not the same service we experienced in the past. It only takes once, so we’re not planing to return. Left the restaurant and enjoyed a meal next door at 220 east.
Best Mexican restaurant you can find on Davis Island. You can find better flavor and value if you drive farther but for the location not bad at all! The fact that they had molacjete was awesome! Good variety of drinks but cocktails are not strong. I'd recommend trying if you're in the area and don't want to drive far.
Horrible service from our server and once the food did finally arrive (at least 60 minutes later) it was disgusting. The skirt steak for the fajitas was tasteless, peppers and onions were overcooked and mushy. My wife took two bites of her chicken bowl and couldn't eat any more of it. My son disected his steak quesadilla and ate a few bites of the internals. My daughter had tacos and she just a small portion of those. Every one around us also had nothing but displeasure on their faces. Should have been a sign when we sat down. Needless to say we will not be returning.
This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Tampa. Lots of good memories!
Food was tasty, just don’t ask for the 2nd basket of chips and salsa as shown on the menu. We were told we’d be charged for it. I told her it’s on the menu that you get 2 baskets. She said they changed the policy because people were wasting them by not eating all of them. Thin people….Thanks for ruining it for us not so thin people. I told the server they need to change the menu. I bet they throw away more wasted rice than chips. Their food was good, but their chincyness on chips cost them repeat customers. Oh, they do use real chicken. I had the 1/2 of wishbone in my taco for proof!!
Went here for a cocktail with my husband at 6:45 on Sunday, ended up ordering food as well, left at 7:35 without our drinks or food ever coming. Took 15 mins to get our order in (it wasn’t busy). Two tables that sat after us had their drinks, food and were well into their meal by the time we ended up leaving. 50 minutes without a drink is ridiculous, especially when you know neither the bar or kitchen is slow.
Watered down margaritas. Stale chips, food okay. Not so great guacamole, watery salsa Overall not so great dinner. Won’t come back
Service is s.l.o.w It shouldn't take 90 minutes to have a chicken fajita and an overly sweet mojito. As it were, I ordered dessert - their fried ice cream - after having to ask for the dessert menu. The wait was so long that I asked for it to go. When the wait was even longer, I asked for it to be canceled and they did. It makes it look like they hasn't even started making it.The food is classic TexMex fare. I started with decently crispy chips and salsa with a hint of a kick. I would have enjoyed more, even paying for it...but I wasn't given the option. The chicken fajita meat was tasty if a little on the salty. Since service was on the slow side, I didn't have anything to wash it down with. Of course, my dessert wasn't even paid. I should have held out a little longer to eat with colleagues who had a better lunch at another Davis Island spot.
