Outside and inside seating but no hostess. Sit yourself and hope someone will come serve you. Had to get up twice within 15 minutes to ask a bartender and one of there dozen security guards if anyone was going to come help. No fans outside so hope it’s breezy. Only valet parking with the sign pointing across the street at another restaurant but it’s not. Very big place with lots of seating but only 2 servers.
Shout out to the staff that helped my fiancé and I yesterday afternoon! My fiancé and I were in the area for business I needed a place to eat lunch. We had our car parked at the office building so we walked to MacDinton‘s in the heat. We walked into the main bar area asked if they were open for lunch. The bartender said that only the outside was open at this time but offered to let us each lunch inside and obtained a server for us ( Kim) who was so sweet and efficient! We had the whole inside our area to ourselves and appreciated being inside after our walk in the Florida sun ! I wish I had gotten the name of the bartender but we really appreciated them are going above and beyond for great customer service! Thank you !
This place is full of rich & snooty college students from New York & New Jersey. I am an Uber driver that picks up these people. They never tip and they think they are all it. My favorite is when they are jaywalking and I am nice enough to let them cross and they don't wave. Lol I don't know how this establishment is still open. I would like to know how many bartenders you go through in a year, considering these brats never tip us drivers.
Great college bar. Dance floor inside is small. It can get very hot and crowded. Good prices. Great college party spot. If you're over 25 and not into the crowded bar scene you'll probably not like it.
Call it what it is, it's a College Bar. Been there done that too many moons ago. Daughter just graduated University of Tampa so going there with her (and the entire 2022 Class) was a highlight for us. Nice people work there, friendly and accommodating. You will enjoy yourself.
I use to come here a lot but after this experience I’d have to say I’m beyond disappointed. I came in and got a couple of drinks and left my tab open at the bar. Decided to meet my husband outside the establishment and was coming back in. The bouncer was absolutely rude & unprofessional and asked for my husbands cash app. We were both extremely confused as to why he was asking maybe for a cover fee? Although I didn’t pay a cover prior to coming in. The bouncer wanted his cash app trying to make us buy my legal ID back since he did not believe I was of age or the person in my ID. I asked one of the bouncers if they could grab my credit card and close my tab at the bar and they refused. Came back the next day and brought other identification with me and once again they refused to give my credit card and driver’s license back. I think this situation could have been handled more professionally. Do better.
My son just graduated college in town (we live 1,000 miles away), and before he and his buddies moved away for other pursuits, they all decided they wanted their parents (all in town for graduation) to hang out together at MacDinton’s to play Thursday night trivia as a group and experience just a taste of the fun their kids have had since turning legal drinking age. Inside is nothing fancy. It’s a dark bar. Plain tables. Plain chairs. Average menu. Very average food for dinner. But a really fun place for that age group and slightly older to hang out at. For my son and his many friends there, seeing them there, you could tell it was like their home, they loved it there. Surely you’ll find better food and decor elsewhere. But the vibe was perfect, and it’s the reason this place is so crowded (in a good way).
Fish and chips… ?? horrible. Ate the fries for $16 anyway. If you have a good taste for fried food even though you are tipsy, buzzing or drunk then order McDonalds or anything else. Way cheaper and better.My server/bartender were both very nice and that’s why I give them 2 stars.Unfortunately they play soccer and not many more places do i that I’m the area…Hope they improve.
Yeah no…. Drove 30 mins for their adult egg hunt that started supposedly at 11 am. We walked in at 10:59 am and all the eggs were gone (yes all 200). When we tried searching …. A rude waitress snapped at a guest to “stay out of the alleyway” and told us some 70 year old man was here right at 11 am (as were we) and got all the eggs. We didn’t find one egg and didn’t see anyone else find any eggs. We left…. Could have been a fun opportunity and we would have stayed for lunch but it was a complete scam to get people there. Waste of our time.
Needs a face lift inside. Food not was it was 10 years ago. Just fun for those that want to celebrate with drinks. 21 to 35 crowd.
