So the menu changed some items are no longer available and prices gone up. As I approached the truck (I was 15 minutes early) the gilr tells me we open at 12. 1 of the girls has a hair cover but then when it was time to open she took it off ?? (like yeah I want all your hair in my food) and the other doesnt. Honestly the girls talk too much and they dont pay attention to what you order. It took 22 minutes to get fried items ??‍♀️, then add another 7 min because a cheesedog apparently exploded. So a total of 29 minutes (since they opened and I placed the order) for fried food ?. The men do not wear gloves while cooking. The place in the outside looks clean. I was able to see how the adobo cap fell on the floor and the dude with the hat (the older of the both men) picked it up from the floor and just placed it on top of the adobo ??. Mind you the sorrullos are filled with cheese (something that isnt stated on the menu). Well they just honestly lost a customer.

I came all the way from NYC drove 2hrs and waited 20 min for the SALTY ALCAPURIAS and nasty attitude from the two ladies at the window, they even got my order wrong because they were to busy BOCHINCHANDO. The cook didn't change his cloves after walking out side with his cloves on and drove around and touched everything out side the food truck.

The food was excellent! The mofongo with garlic shrimp, outstanding! Flavour was on point. Generous portions and the Alcapurrias...well, the best I've ever had! Great service as well. We were going to take pictures but as soon as we tasted our food we couldn't stop eating! This food was so good we don't mind the drive from Seffner. Try La Fritanga De Toñita, you won't regret it!

As a Puerto Rican, I'm really sad to say that I have no plans to come back.We went on Sunday, at around 2:15PM. I remarked to my wife that I was surprised there weren't many guests, as it's a Puerto Rican place, it's a Sunday, and there are many Puerto Ricans in Tampa. This is about the time we like to go "chinchorreando" with families on Sundays.Anyway, we ordered some empanadillas for the kids and a Fritanga Box for my wife and I. Guests started arriving after we had placed our order. The line got fairly long then.Anyway, my kids got their empanadillas in about 10 minutes. Not bad, but not great. I asked how much longer for the Fritanga Box and they told me they were putting it together. I saw them take some carne frita (fried pork) and place it on the box, which was in a counter next to the order window, inside the food trailer.Anyway, many customers who ordered after we did were getting their orders, so I went to ask about our order again and they told me, in a rude manner, that is wasn't ready and that I should look around as the place was packed. Except that it wasn't packed when we ordered. That happened about 15 minutes later.Anyway, it's been over 45 minutes, the box with the fried pork meat is still in there, open in the kitchen. That fried meat has been exposed to everyone that's picked up an order and to all the employees because they never bothered to close the box.So what the heck goes in that box? This is Puerto Rican street food; it's not a la carte gourmet! By the time the 60-minute mark hit, we just requested our money back and left. We weren't going to eat that fried pork that had been left sitting in an open box for an hour and the order wasn't ready yet anyway. So the day we went out chinchorrear at La Fritanga de Toñita ended up as a day we just had some burgers somewhere else. They do get two stars because my kids liked their empanadillas. They were kinda tiny, but flavor was great. Too bad we never got to enjoy our order.

Went with my husband to eat "alcapurrias". You order and wait for them to call your name to get your food. Our order had been ready for a while and nobody called us. After a while we had to go and ask for our food. The alcapurrias were the big ones and they take really good. That was the only thing that I didn't like, because there were not that many people waiting. You can sit there to eat too.

Good place for a delicious roadside Puerto Rican meal.

Best alcapurrias! They are massive, I had the corned beef with amarillos and it was delicious!

Been there a couple of times. The first time I thought it was bad, but still I wanted to try again. Both times I’ve been there is with the family and we order all kinds of food. From alcapurrias to mofongos, all disappointments. The place was kept clean. But the food had no flavor and the service was not great either, there was a blonde lady taking the orders, very rude to several customers and my family. I couldn’t believe that I felt for it twice, after 3 hours driving.

I was there for the second time with my family. The mofongo was very good. But both of the times the alcapurrias were bland, no flavor at all. I would like for a Puerto Rican food place to thrive please season the masa and the beef. And be more nice we don’t need to be that rude to each other.
