So much Fun for a pretty good dinner. Food is prepared right in front of you with lots of entertainment. I would try to call ahead for a reservation… we tried but we’re told no. We still went … waited about an hour but it was worth the wait.Decent portions … and really fresh. Our chef was really good and kept us entertained. We even got a birthday discount for our daughter. You have to show proof it’s your actual birthday so we brought her passport.It was definitely something that everyone enjoyed!!!!!
Simply delightful! Service is on point, discreet but effective. Clean and upbeat house music playing with colors brighting the atmosphere. This place makes you happy from inside out. Bellow you see sashimi appetizer, filet mignon carpaccio. The highlight of the evening was the ‘fantastic tuna’ (giant piece of tuna wrapped w spicy krabmeat, avocado w dive cilantro sauce) paired with Nigori crème de Sake. So delicious!
Excellent food great atmosphere
While I’m usually pleased with Koto I am FLABBERGASTED at my latest and LAST experience at this establishment. For a friends birthday reservation that was made a week in advance we were met with an attitude and seated over an hour late. Our waiter also was very hostile towards us for no reason at all. I am seated at the hibachi table currently with a very sour taste in my mouth. I ordered my food but I will no longer be giving this establishment my business, which is sad considering I’ve been a loyal patron for over 5 years.
Been going here for years, and it's still my favorite hibachi to go to. Between the kind staff, clean place overall it feels great to be in. I've had every cook in this place cook my dinner, and never has my steak come out different than what i ordered with me or any of my friends. Been going here for over 6 years. I plan on many more to come.
Definitely the best Hibachi place near downtown! Although they did seem quite understaffed on Valentine’s Day, I can’t blame them because all restaurants are feeling that currently. I can say that the service was excellent and our food tasted great! I had the steak and chicken combo and my wife had the salmon and both were excellent, along with all the hibachi sides. It was also a very fun environment, and I will definitely be back.
First time ever and I absolutely loved it. We set at the hibachi grill it was a very different dinning experience and I loved it we have the lovers meal and it was amazing I definitely recommended this restaurant to any and everyone
I waited a very long time for my food and we even had a mix up with the bill. However, the food was delicious and the manager made up for all of our concerns. She even game me a to go meal after the waiter threw my leftovers away when I stepped away to the bathroom. Sophia is the owner, she was very pleasant and professional.
This place deserves zero stars. I had always come to Kotos and had a decent experience. When I went to eat for the most recent time, a friend of mine had called and made a reservation, when we arrived, they told us they did not make reservations so we waited 30 minutes to be seated. I had an issue with my food and the manager did everything she could so that they wouldn’t need to remake my food due to my allergy. We arrived to the restaurant at 8 and left around 12. They are not mindful of the customers time at all. I am extremely disappointed with this experience and I hope that they learn to fix their behavior with customers and be more kind with them. Their behavior was extremely poor with handling the situation and for the first time, unfortunately, I had to leave a bad tip. HORRIBLE service.
Our third time eating here and this restaurant does. not. miss. From the great service and drink prices to the entertaining hibachi chef. We even ate here after Gasparilla and while we had to wait an hour, all of the employees from the host to bussers, were on overdrive to sit and feed a large crowd. I hope they were awarded bonuses. Great portions and flavor. Our favorite hibachi, hands down.
