Super poppin' place so expect a wait. My party waited about 25 minutes for a table, but we were prepared to wait longer. The Yuzu Sake cocktail was amazing along with all of the food. Everything tasted fresh and authentic (as authentic as you can be in Tampa, FL), and the overall vibe of the place matched. Our server was Mikaela and even though she was extremely busy she made sure we were taken care of and food came quickly! 10/10
Best Japanese Izakaya style food/sushi and restaurant in the area! Nice decor and ambiance. Had a great overall dining experience at the sushi bar. Staff were all very helpful and efficient. Very good sushi offerings. Highly recommend their mango unfiltered sake and their Matcha tiramisu! There can be a long wait but there’s a cool neighborhood bar next door to grab drinks until your table’s ready.
Some of the best sushi I have had! I got the honor roll, Izakaya special roll, and bagel roll. They were all fantastic. You can tell the fish is high quality and the sushi chefs know what they are doing. The server was very helpful, responsive and friendly and the decor of the restaurant gives a unique experience. Love this place!
Authentic Japanese cuisine!! Much love to this place because everything hit the spot. Decor on point, staff attentive and food sooo flavorful. It May have been a mood because it was also rainy outside, but the food was delicious and comforting for the weather. Took a to-go bowl to enjoy late
This was my first time in Izakaya Tori sushi, and it became one of my favorite places.When you enter Izakaya Tori, you feel teletransported to a bar in Japan; I love the decoration and the vibes. The waitresses are friendly and give great attention to the customers.The mix of flavors is excellent; the fish is high quality, super fresh, and adequately cut.So, if you are a local or are visiting Tampa, do not miss this fantastic spot!
I had such a amazing experience at Izakaya Tori. The food was on point and simply delicious with everything we received. They had everything from small plate skewers with different meats not pictured to sushi and other seafoods. We started out with the crab special salad that was very light and fresh, we then tried out the mentaiko fries which were a unique experience that we will get again! we went into the chicken thigh skewers and scallop skewers both on point and delectable, we then both had the tonkostu ramen & mi-so-hot ramen which both had this egg on top to die for and both broths were super delicious and heavy with the ramen! The desserts are a must with green tea tiramisu & a green tea ice cream with red bean paste that really cleanse the pallet. I did not get to the fresh sushi bar being so full but will be back and I heard nothing but great things from the guests. There is traditional seating when available and the pub food Japanese fusion is a must try! Don’t sleep on this place! The service was great also.

Atmosphere, price, food great! Our server not so much. We felt rushed and she didn’t put in our appetizer order. We received our appetizers after our main dish. ?

If you miss going to the many Izakaya in Japan then definitely try this place. Japanese decor and pop music give you the ambiance. Sit at the sushi bar or at a table. We love sushi but focused on the yakitori (grilled skewered meat and veg) as there were many choices and a happy hour for several meats like pork belly, chicken thighs etc. The eel and shishito peppers were awesome. We ended up ordering some sushi…salmon and mackerel. The salmon did not have much flavor and surprisingly the wasabi was bland. But overall the experience was great….good varied menu, great service and pretty authentic Japanese food. Would definitely go back to try the ramen and tonkotsu!
