Excellent service, food well prepared. It has an old school “cheers” vibe but it works for the environment
Great place. Carmine always makes you feel at home!!!
We were a party of five out for an early evening dinner. I was told that this restaurant had been around for many, many years. We arrived early and got seated right away. Our very friendly waiter took our drink order and brought our some great tasting bread while we waited. Drinks were served and orders taken. My sister and I ordered the veal scaloppini with Fettuccini Alfredo. My wife and Sharon had the Eggplant Parmesan. And Midge ordered the salmon. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals except for Midge who felt the salmon wasn't cooked well enough. I would definitely return and clearly understand why Lavaron'e has passed the test of time.
Excellent place to celebrate, great service, first class cuisine, Christian was a very good server, always attentive.
Our server was excellent. We had a party of 10 and he did not miss a beat. Great food. We had about 80% of the menu and everything was delicious. I had the surf & turf which was amazing. The fettuccine alfredo left more to be desired. Escargot was absolutely fantastic.
I was pleasantly surprised! Our waiter Sam was the best, very attentive. Our food was delicious, great presentation, fresh, and well seasoned. This is a hidden gem for us and will definitely come back!
My wife ordered a filet, which was overly seasoned. Also, we were charged $4.00 for the accompanying baked potato, even though the menu stated the steaks come with 1 side. The waitress said it was a "menu change. " My clams with linguini came with spaghetti instead (and was gritty with pieces of shell). The restaurant was crowded and loud.
We went for lunch. No one in our party was disappointed. I had the Crab Enchilado … wonderful. The Lasagna was delicious. Chicken Piccata was so good! And the bread … warm, crusty but soft..no one could resist and some tried. They service was excellent. They do not rush you.
A friend recommended this place so we decided to try it. We went early so we were able to get a seat. The bar area was packed so I am not sure why. The atmosphere has this old charm like Gallagher in NY City but it was really dark. I had to use my cell phone light o see the menu. They have a limited menu but it was just enough for a variety of selection. The service was rock solid and I wish all restaurants had the server that we had. She was quick and and paid attention to us! The chicken noodle soup and the wedge salad was really good. The escargot was ok with the butter. Then came the entrees and it went down hill. Unfortunately I have to say that the rib eye was really hard and chewy. It was hard to cut and I had to keep chewing and chewing for each bite. My friend got the prime rib and it had so much fat in it and basically had to cut off a lot of it. Then another friend got the pasta and it was watery and bland. The portions are of good size but it really means nothing if you can’t enjoy it. Overall the service was great but the food has to be improved a little bit more for me to come back.
I had 7:30 reservations & the place was overly crowded. Took an hour for us to be seated on a Saturday night. Filet Mignon was amazing. I upgraded to fettuccine Alfredo for $4 more(was a bit bland needed more sauce). Overall food was really good & had the beef carpaccio as an appetizer. I would definitely come back. If wait wasn't so long would've given them 5 stars.
