Came in to hotel bar for the first time today. Such a great ambiance the decor is amazing. Staff is very friendly. Drinks are amazing. I came in and asked the bartender chris if he can make an off menu drink and he gave me this gin gem. I recommend anyone to come in and asked the bartenders to make anything. You will not be disappointed. Will be coming back and bringing more people
Great place to chill and have a drink or two! Service was amazing thanks to our bartender Anja! The cocktails were great and decently priced! Overall great atmosphere & I’ll be back soon!
This place is so great. The drinks are great. The service was amazing. Chris and Cody both were knowledgeable and made amazing drinks. The setting and the music are what you would expect in a signature cocktail bar. I felt at home here. I will consider this bar my home bar every time I am in town. 5 out of 5. I will recommend this place to all my co workers and friends who come to Tampa.
This place is amazing!! Chris is an amazing bar tender he took really good care of us! I came 4 times here during my Tampa stay!!! The bar was cozy and the atmosphere was one of a kind. I will definitely make this my go to place when I visit Tampa soon again. Thank you Hotel Bar for making my Tampa trip extra special.
Great for a business lunch in, a date night, or a girls night out Anja (pronounced An-Yah) is literally the best!!! Went out for a girls night after work for a MUCH NEEDED drink and decided that Hotel Bar was UP on my must revisit list in downtown tampa. Her, the drinks, the bartender shaking the beverages… everything you can ask for.Loved it all!
The best drinks I've had for happy hour in Tampa. Cute place, nice ambiance, and incredible bartenders. Both Chris and Cody served me, and I must say they are the absolute best. This is my go to place, so glad I popped in on a Monday.
Came to hotel bar today. Have heard such great things from people and I had to find out myself. When I walked in I seen such a great liquor selection and the ambiance is superb. The service was amazing. Cody and Chris took such great care of me and my friends. The drinks on and off menu are top notch. I will absolutely be coming back and bringing my friends. 5 stars well deserved.
Best drinks in town!If you’re looking for Tampa’s best mixologist this is your place! It’s a very cute and romantic bar. I’ve been there twice now and will return every chance I get.I went once a Sunday night and it was not very busy which we enjoyed. We went back in a Friday night and it wasn’t packed but it was a little busy. The drinks were amazing and the bartender recommendations were on point.
Best cocktail program in all of Tampa. Make to visit their sister restaurant and bar on Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa called FLY, too.
Hotel Bar has so much potential but sadly underdelivers.1. The idea of a bar that celebrates the top drinks of hotel bars around the world is great. But, there are maybe just 10 cocktails, several from unusual hotels, and they miss a countless number of great hotel drinks. I recommend they create a book of all the great hotel drinks and treat that like a global exploration. "Page 1: Europe, Page 2: SE Asia, Page 3: North America..."2. The design of the bar itself is nice, but misses in the rest of the space. Sterile walls with meh lighting. Add more chandeliers, apply luxurious velvet wallpaper, and install some heavy drapes to the windows to make it feel more intimate like a bar you'd find in a 5 star hotel.3. While it was later at night (around 11pm) our bartender (good looking guy who said he's from PR) was skilled but overall pretty cocky and snotty to almost all the patrons except for the two drunk girls he was flirting with that night. When folks on both sides of us ordered off menu, he seemed agitated and even rolled his eyes at a dude who asked for a Moscow Mule, claiming with sarcastic but annoyed tone "I know how to make a Moscow Mule." Not saying the bartender is bad, and he's clearly skilled, just not the warm, welcoming, and friendly personality you expect at a top tier cocktail bar. He was nice enough to us (we order from the menu) but we did not feel compelled to stay for a second round, let alone a standard third.4. In the 45 minutes of our visit, we saw two couples walk in, sit down, not get service, and leave 15 mins later. That said, there was only one person serving tables, but it's a small bar and we rarely saw her. That said, we sat at the bar and dealt with the bartenders direct.First impressions are hopeful. Overall experience is below average. The physical bar and the team working it could very easily improve and not lose money, as it seemed they are prone to do. Without these changes, Hotel Bar is just another cocktail bar with a thinly veiled theme.
