Not a big fan, not tasty, not worth the price, not happy with presentation,not going back. 100 characters required in each review... So how many do I really need to say it's not worth it.
Had a late lunch at Hank’s. Wife had a pulled pork plate with green beans and corn nuggets. She said the pork was tasty but dry. The mustard based sauce made it better. She raved about her sides saying the green beans were outstanding. I went for the all you can eat catfish with fries and slaw. Loved the fish, sides were average. Hank’s is very clean and tidy, the service was friendly and punctual. We will go there again if we are in that part of Tampa.
I'm sorry but didn't like the pulled pork with bake beans nor the French fries!! The order of pulled pork I had was tasty but the portion was really small as well as the french fries I think I got 12 french fries and bake beans they were cold as well as the french fries and do you see in the picture my pulled pork was wrapped in aluminum foil. So that's why I gave them three stars!.. Plus the price for that size of a plate that size is ridiculous. I'll never go back. Plus the ice machine in the fountain drink you look behind the plastic work it connects you can see mold on the ice machine around the plastic piece with the ice comes out.
The cat fish and brisket was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS… I really enjoyed the collard greens and fried okra. I will definitely be back. Meal was big enough for my husband and I to share plus took some home in a to go box!!!
Awesome Cat fish dinner - hard to find a good restaurant that knows how to cook Cat Fish. Hush puppies were not quite as good as my wife's hush puppies but close. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely keep them in mind for future lunches and dinners. Maybe BBQ next time or the all you can eat shrimp. Would definitely recommend the cat fish.
Passing through on my way to Miami. Very friendly staff. My catfish was cooked just the way I like/ wanted (crispy). Kept it simple with catfish sandwich and fries, very filling and good. Was not a fan of the Cole slaw though, dry and I found a pineapple in it ? wherever that came from ??♀️ All in all, if I ever pass through again…I’d stop to eat!
My husband suggested going out for BBQ. I wasn't thrilled, but ok. We pull in, and I see a sign for catfish. This Arkansas girl was thrilled! That was the best catfish I've had in a long time, and those hush puppies? My taste buds thought they'd died and gone to heaven. The atmosphere and decor, combined with the amazing food, means we plan to return when we are in the area!
Great food but extremely inappropriate expression of political opinion.
Food is great, service is good. Rude political sign on marque is a big turn off. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but it doesn't need to be nasty.
I have no issues eating at any restaurant where the owners have an opposing political view until now. Posting a Let's Go Brandon sign in front of Hank's business is as low as you can go. We as a family go there regularly for lunch and liked the food. If I have to explain to my grandkids what a sign like Let's Go Brandon means, we don't need to be giving them our business anymore. It's pretty obvious the owners do not care if their customers will be offended and it's pretty obvious, they don't want the business of the opposing side as well. Hopefully a stupid choice like this will hurt their business.
