I came here for the first time to study. The atmosphere was calm and saw many other people quietly working/studying as well. There are board games and different sitting areas to chose from. My second time coming I saw they were dog friendly which I think is nice (: on not so humid days they open the windows for fresh air. Overall, a cute spot and they have delicious drinks. I had coffee one day and a Nutella Kava another, both were awesome ?
Love this place. This is my go-to spot for remote work and just hanging out. The wifi is strong, the coffee is good, the seating is comfortable, and the staff are excellent. I especially love the music choices, they really know their audience. The reason I love this neighborhood is everywhere I go joints are always playing the alt rock/punk music from my youth, and I feel like we're all enjoying the music together. But Grassroots, and especially Wes, has the best playlists! It sets the vibe and I always feel at home.
Grass Roots (N Florida Ave) has become my favorite place to spend the day! Whether I'm working or socializing the people are friendly and the staff is welcoming. Tarot Tuesdays with Des is a must! Des does a great job of reading your cards in a very down to earth fashion. I highly recommend GR to all family and friends alike!
Best kava I've ever had. First tea bar I've been too with mocktails infused with either kava or kratom. I had their kava mule and it was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back!
The nitro brew coffee is great. Prices are great. Service is super quick. Very comfortable area. Clean bathrooms
My first time going to a Kava shop with my husband and it was a very interesting experience. I honestly didn’t expect everyone to be so welcoming and friendly since most places aren’t like that nowadays. The 2 employees who helped were named, Wes and Scarlet. They made sure to answer any questions we had and were very detailed with their answers. Kava had the true effects and we also got a toffee nut latte with 2 espresso shots which was more than what I expected so I give everything a 10/10. We will be back!
Visiting from out of town with two girlfriends and had the BEST experience at the Seminole Heights location. Wes was our outstanding, attentive & outgoing kavatender. The drinks were delicious, refreshing and worth every penny. Great customer service & excellent vibes. Highly recommend!
Awesome study spot, especially because they're open so late! Lots of room to sit and a good variety of drink options. I'm not much of a kava or kratom drinker, so I usually opt for kombucha on draft or a cappuccino. Totally recommend if you're looking to chill or work!
