Stopped in for lunch. Ordered Cuban sandwiches and a bowl of Spanish bean soup. Cubans were delish. Bean soup tasted good but was only lukewarm so it was kinda yuck to eat. Atmosphere is fun with lots and lots of pirate stuff all over the walls. Server was very friendly. Would go for the Cuban and fries again.

Prices of course have gone up but over all, Ive always like Gaspars Grotto. Drinks are good food is actually really good here not just great for drinks ?But it's great night , karaoke is always the best ppl watching
The Cuban sandwich here is amazing! It definitely is a must eat. It’s on an amazing Cuban flatbread filled with pulled pork, ham, pastrami, cheeses, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and maybe a mayo/mustard. It comes with seasoned fries which were also great. As a bonus, there were quite a few of Ybor City’s famous feral chickens hanging around the tables. Well, actually, one tried to join me and jumped on the back of the chair next to me but she didn’t stay long. Prices were very good. Cuban Sammie with fries, plus a beer, plus a bottle of water for the road set me back $19. Kat was my waitperson and she was great. I came at 7 pm and she made sure I was taken care of.
We wanted Cuban coffee and saw the sign as we were walking by. Stopped in and glad we did. My family of 6 and we ordered 3 Cuban, 1 Hot Chocolate, 1 Cappuccino and 1 regular coffee along with a bag of Beignets. They were as good as what we got at Cafe De Mondo in New Orleans. Our server Junelle did a great job. She had finger nails that were at least 3 inches long. Cool.
We picked Gaspar's to meet an old college buddy in from Dallas as it was convenient for us both. We all enjoyed our time there although we didn't order much. One pitcher of sangria and a cuban sandwich and bean soup but both were great. We will be back and recommend it, nice atmosphere and for what we ate great food.
We lost our keys to our apartment and our phones died. I headed to Gaspar's and the lady there leant me her phone charger so that I could get in touch with our Airbnb hosts. Drinks were well priced and the decor was awesome. Highly recommend this place - very helpful and friendly!

The Cuban sandwich was amazing! They have Great service and drinks as well. We will definitely be back here. We love Ybor City!
