Irish pub located right on Curtis Hixon Park. The atmosphere here is probably the closest you will get to Ireland in Tampa. We went in for drinks only on a Friday night, so I can’t speak for the food. I can say that they do know how to pour a Guinness here and the live music was on point. Will definitely go back again when looking for that pub feel.
We were hot and tired after walking all through Tampa and the river walk with two small children. We also don't drink. As vegetarians we got the Black Bean Chipotle Burger, Caesar Salad, and 5 Cheese Grilled Cheese. Everything deserved 5 stars including service and speed.
Bottled Bud Light ($5.75) wasn't very cold. Switched to Miller Light 16-oz. draft ($6.50), which was colder, but not much. No frosted glasses. Didn't order food, but friend didn't finish fish & chips, said wasn't very good. No table service when I was there on Tuesday evening.
One of the most authentic Irish pubs I've been to in the US. Actually, maybe THE most authentic. At least two people working there had strong Irish accents, and there was a decent amount of political posters about having an independent Ireland. After my meal, which was great, I was craving something sweet. I was sitting at the bar, and asked the bartender if they had deserts. She said "I'm sorry love, no deserts, but we've got whiskey. Would you like a whiskey?"
It was a very cute place from the outside nothing fancy inside but the food was very good. I had fish and chips and it was very very good. The other two people I were with had their blue burger I believe it was called and they also loved it. The gentleman who served us was extremely friendly and very helpful. I believe he was doing the bar and the serving and we never felt like we were forgotten about. Would definitely go back when I'm in the area again.
Had such a great time here. Staff was friendly and engaging, food was amazing, plenty of selections for drinks. Wish I could take this place home with me!
Great pub at an incredible location. Bartenders are super friendly, there’s LOTS of history. Reuben rolls and sliders are to die for!
I’m presently sitting in the Tampa airport. I sat down to have breakfast at your restaurant here . The mean man behind the bar ignored me. I asked for a menu . He told me he was too busy . It’s not crowded at all. I’m right here . He then told me he was too busy to take my order . What an awful representation of your franchise . I grabbed a breakfast sandwich elsewhere and am sitting at my gate directly across from your restaurant. It’s still not busy . I’m wondering if he just didn’t care for me for some reason . Wow ! How embarrassing to be turned down for service . At any rate , your restaurant refused service to me .
Nice, environment and great service!!
What a delicious Shepard's Pie.Crispy cheese top, followed by a creamy mash potatoes layer and ending with a well seasoned ground beef base.I also ordered an house IPA, which was quite good.Highly recommend this place ?
