First time here for lunch,ordered the 5 spice birria and grits,was delicious heavily seasoned perfect grits and collard greens.We also ordered the blue plate chicken dinner with corn cake collard greens and fried chicken,corn cake and the greens were the star of the show for me on this dish.Friendly people and great service.
This restaurant is such a wonderful new gem for Sarasota! The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are huge! The owner is super friendly and we cannot wait for our next visit already!
Delicious southern style food! The papas bravas were crisp and delicious. The Birria and grits was to die for. I really wanted to get the chicken and waffles but I don’t think my stomach could’ve handled more food! Great service, large portions, phenomenal price. Definitely recommend.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! So great, we had to go back again the next day! Such a great experience & AMAZING food. I couldn't of asked for a better evening and I cannot wait to return the next time I visit. It helps that the owner/chef talked with us, told us his story and had only been open for 35 days! Unbelievable! Stop in and support Fork & Hen and try his absolutely delicious food! You won't regret it!
Delicious pressed chicken parmesan sandwich, chicken and waffles, and very friendly staff. Everything we had was tasty. Nice addition to the area.
I’m not usually a big fan of huge plates of food, but when it is executed this well, I’m totally on board. The competitive price point and high quality food makes this small local business worth a trip….or 2, or 3. My favorite fried chicken in the area. The corn cake was beyond awesome, with crispy buttery edges and fluffy interior with just the right amount of sweetness from the honey. The collard greens are excellent as well and I’m not usually impressed by greens. The Mac and cheese is creamy, lightly smoked and generous. The burgers are huge and flavorful. I could go on and on….\\nBeen by 2 times and still looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.
Fantastic experience for those looking for a unique twist on food you love! I had the El Azteca and it was delicious. Service was great even sitting outside! Will definitely be back.

Classically trained chefs who bring gourmet flare to southern comfort food favorites.\\n\\nYou gotta try the Birria and Grits meal. It was insane. One of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time. Grits were so creamy, collard greens were great,and the short rib was so flavorful and tender.and the pepper sauce tied it all together perfectly. My wife has the chicken and waffles with was great, and so was the kids Mac and cheese ???? please go out and support them as a small local restaurant that deserves to stick around. Food was absolutely amazing! This was The Hitman burger and let me tell you the flavor combo was perfection! We also had the Brussels and Cauliflower some of the best I’ve ever had! They even accommodated my friend who is gluten free! Service was outstanding and can’t wait to go try out more of the menu!
