We were so excited to try Dharma southern kitchen. It was good but I have some tips to make it better. The Nashville hot Chik'n was good but no very hot. Ask for hot sauce or bring your own. The Darma fried Chik'n ask for extra sauce. The sauce was amazing but without it the Chik'n was just bland.
Food is waaaay over rated guys. It was luke warm, some of it was soggy. Clearly had been made hours earlier and sitting under a warmer. Some of it seemed maybe microwaved? Souther food generally is characterized by flavor … something that was clearly lacking here as well. For the price you can definitely do better almost anywhere else.
Great food! Special shout out to Kathy for taking care of me and my wife with the great service!
I'm a regular at Dharma. I went in yesterday afternoon and ordered the blackened nachos @ $17.00 and it was disgusting, I had to throw it away. The bean sauce was cold as ice and had cheese covering it so when I took a bite I got chip, cold beans and hot cheese-it was super gross. I ordered blackened "chicken" but instead they put dried up pieces of the fried "chicken" and instead of Fresno peppers, like it says, they put jalapenos all over the nachos which I do not like. I took them back and Theresa remade them for me, without the beans, and they were so good!!! Every chip had the perfect bite and the blackened "chicken" was cooked perfectly. She is a great cook! I ordered a salad with blackened "chicken" last week and the "chicken" was burnt on one side and almost impossible to eat. I am grateful the manager remade my food, and it was SO good, but it should not be like this. With what you guys' charge, we should have confidence walking away from the counter that our food is going to be correct and delicious. It's also a bit of a bummer when we drive all the way up there and you guys are out of something. Last weekend we went to grab lunch around 4pm on Saturday and the store was temporally closed, so we left. We went back on Sunday and the cashier was not accepting orders and it was still early afternoon. I hope Dharma can get back to the way it was because the food is really good but the service is not.
I'm not a vegan, but this food looked really good, so we decided to stop by while we were at the food hall.We got a DFC bowl. It was pretty good for being vegan, but I was hoping not to have to add that qualifier. The chicken was my favorite part. I wasn't super impressed by the mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. If you're not a vegan, it's not bad but I wouldn't say it's a must try.
Doing Vegan January. This meal makes me want to keep going! Garlic mac and cheese in the DFC was EXCELLENT! Orange bird is also a great choice. Lemonade was a bit sweet but you can dilute it with some water.
My first time ordering from Dharma in Tampa and it was awful. I got the Dharma Fried Chicken to-go with a side of traditional macaroni and boiled peanuts. The macaroni was the worst I've ever had. It was so tasteless, it was just like eating plain pasta. And the biscuit was burnt. The chicken was ok, but could've had a better flavor. The boiled peanuts were awesome, but I didn't know they were gonna have red pepper flakes on them. I had a much better experience at Dharma in Orlando, they had more offerings and the food tasted way better.
Food was great. Portion small (only reason a 4 ⭐). If you are hungry order an extra. Got a bowl ($15) which is about a small bite of everything. Great taste/texture. Just wish for the price was a bit more. Recommend.
Super fun atmosphere, friendly service and absolutely delicious food! Can't wait to go back.
