Well, I did expected too much from this place. My friend used to work here but I never got the chance to come by until Sunday where I went with my husband and his mom, the waitress gave us the menus and came back 20 minutes later toTake the order, I was disappointed at that point but we ordered hoping the food would have came in estimated time of 20-25 minutes, but we waited 50 minutes more and when the food came the waitress forgot to bring the tostones we ordered and the sweet tea was very very sweet so I told her that I wanted water so she brought water from the faucet, I didn’t think she could dare I mean I don’t mind paying for a bottle of water but seriously?? Also she never passed by our table asking how was the food, she didn’t even say nothing about the long wait, nothing, I mean very unfortunate my visit to this restaurant the food was good but I did not enjoy it because the customer service was awful!! Never coming back again.
I came back to this restaurant to see if they improved in service and cooking; NOT, they did not. Yesterday I went with friends and La huancaina was so watery ( Peruvian people knows it should not be like that); Arroz con mariscos; we had to returned it because rice was not cooked right; some not cooked and some like too much. Tasted like a lot of paprika or a red seasoning but nothing like Arroz con Mariscos. Waiter was really nice about it ( I am not sure about this anymore) and she offered to bring instead Arroz Chaufa. My friend decided to take it home at this point and later that day when she was about to eat A BIG BLACK HAIR in the food...Sooo discustin. Sorry but I am not going back again. I guess they did not like that we complain about the food
Some of the best food I have ever had at a restaurant. I ordered Causa de Atun and it was delicious. Then ordered lucumai ice cream for desert. Both dishes were fantastic. For me, service was amazing, the waitress was very attentive the whole time. Will definitely be coming back. The prices are indeed pretty expensive. This is because a lot of things are made in house. Would love to see this place prosper and cannot wait for my next visit!
Amazing I dont understand how anyone could rate less than 5 stars. I made reservations for 8 pm on Friday the service was exceptional and food amazing. We had tostones with steak for appetizer, cesar salad, pollo salteado. Multiple people were checking on us making sure we didn't need anything. I live nearby I will be back many more times! Not to forget there was a dj with live music.
Visited this place because our first Peruvian choice is closed on Sunday. Google 4.2 score convinced me to give it a try. We had the Jalea and an appetizer consisting of three balls of mashed potatoes filled with tuna, octopus and shrimp. The Jalea batter needs to be changed and the frying to be crispy. Definitely not comparable to the other nearby Peruvian joint.
My girlfriend has been homesick and misses her mothers cooking. So, I looked into nearby restraunts. This is my first time having Peruvian cuisene, some of the best food I've ever had. She is feeling so much better and is glowing seeing me enjoy her culture's food but also being reminded of her mothers cooking. Getting a taste of her culture and nostalgic drinks such as Inca kola, it really touched me and has me dying to learn from her mother. The food can be pricey but so far it has been very much worth the price with the quality I've been shown so far. I look forward to ordering more not only when she is visiting but for myself as I'm just in love and hope to see the quality of the food reach this same level for the next time I order here. The Mariscos fried rice was incredible!
Came based on the reviews and bc my Latina wanted seafood. As we sat, I began to wonder if the reviews were paid for. Too many 5 star reviews with photos and no owner responses. The food arrived in good time. I was satisfied the portion of the Filete de Pescado. And very pleased the flavor of the Cilantro Rice Pollo, but disappointed the dinner only came with rice and no additional sides. The service is subpar. Waitress didn't return once the meal was delivered. She never gave us refills or asked if we wanted another. Once the check arrived, she disappeared again and there were only two other tables (Tues evening). The prices are way too high for what you get, which is basically fried fish for $19 or rice and chicken for $19.
Love this Peruvian joint! Had the Lomo Saltado and it was exquisite! It came with a beer infused Cilantro rice and the sauce was absolutely to die for!!!! Make reservations and you get to stay for the entertainment! I will be back!❤
My family and I have been customers of this fantastic restaurant for years now. We love the way that they maintain the quality of their products and their professionalism. We appreciate their kindness and the phenomenal live music ? ? ♥️
They charged as for cover $10 each without telling us at the door. We went there just to eat, when paying the bill didn't realize I was charged for cover. We spent less than an hour there. Food was horrible too. Definitely not recommended. Everything there is about money and not the customer.
