Absolutely terrible! I should have been warned by the gargantuan menu, but I was taken in by the frog and intestine dinner items. Not that I would normally eat frog or intestines, but I thought they gave a note of authenticity to the menu. How sadly mistaken this man was! Duck appetizer - soggy pieces of Long Island duck floating in a sea of grease. Fried potstickers - gluey and leaden with a mystery filling redolent with the fragrance of a Secaucus landfill. Hot and sour soup - viscous and slimy with nary a hint of spiciness (it was very hot temperature-wise, however). Crispy salt and pepper squid - a big "nope" on the crispy and neither a grain of salt nor a flake of pepper to be found anywhere. The principal flavor was stale cooking oil, which persisted in my stricken mouth for hours. Likely the worst Chinese food I have ever had the misfortune to eat. The service was fast and friendly, but I had the distinct impression that the waitstaff were shaking their heads as I exited the restaurant, thinking to themselves, "Poor American sucker."
This is a place where you go for the food. I went the dim sum route and was not disappointed. They were out of the egg tarts ( I guess that's common on a Monday after the weekend rush) so I tired their coconut option, it was a lovely substitute. Prices on the menu have changed and aren't updated and I would review your bill for accuracy as it's done by hand
Authentic Chinese food, served by the sweetest people. The owner and his wife made my family feel so welcome. Shrimp wonton soup was handmade and incredible. Huge portions and fair prices for fresh delicious Cantonese style Chinese.
We were recommended by friends but we were highly dissapointed, mostly with the service. In an almost empty restaurant the host wanted to put the black family in the back by the service entry. The waitress didnt seem too pleased that we moved tables and the only good service we got from her was when it was time to leave. She stared at us for 10 minutes straight as if we would leave without paying. No matter how good the food I could never go back or recommend any one support this establishment.
I will never eat there again! The silverware was severely dated with thousands of scratches and blemishes on them.Really,is it that expensive to replace them every 40 years or so ?So I decided to use the chop sticks where I noticed that the woman behind the bar was washing dishes in a large bowl! Do you mean to tell me that this place does not have a standard dishwasher that gets hot enough to kill Covid? I could only guess what horrors await in the kitchen. How long has this food been sitting out?Look eat here at your own risk because if you look at the menu you would be impressed but if you observe the conditions in which your food and dishes are served its day and night. Just remember this ,a person lost thier eye behind an infection that came from consuming reheated rice.
If I can give them a zero star, I will!! I just went there today, the food was not bad but loss of appetite because of extremely bad bad bad customer service. The girl with the glasses that brings out the food for us was very rude. Poor customer service would reduce the amount of customers and impact the restaurant negatively!!! I do not recommend this place for anyone!! I will never go there again and I make sure to tell all of the people that I know not to go there as well!!!
Great food, good prices and excellent service
A REAL Chinese restaurant! When I was younger, Growing up in the Bay Area of California, we would frequent “china town” San Francisco. My favorite Chinese dish was mu shu pork. No one seems to even know what it is, and I can never find it anywhere in Florida. Most “Chinese” restaurants are nothing like those out west. The few restaurants I’ve found to serve this over the years did a poor job, but I didn’t complain because I was happy just to have something similar. This! Is the best mu shu pork entree I have had since California. It is exactly as I remembered. Thank you for starting off my 2022 with such a gift!
The family was in Tampa for a week on vacation. We researched all over and this was the only authentic Chinese place. We ordered carryout twice here. It is pretty good food. Love the BBQ.
