Loved it. I look forward to coming here again. The owner was professional, friendly and quick with the hotdogs and fries. Ordered a chili-cheese dog, a New York dog with Paulie sauce and my wife had a custom hotdog with pickles and ketchup. Chili cheese dog has been what I've been looking for because it's pretty hard to find a good chili dog in Tampa without some nasty chili sauce or fake cheese sauce on it. The fries are the hidden gem here though, as they were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, tasty without any need for seasoning.Proudly owned by a veteran for over 30 years.

Chicago Paulie's is a wonderful little gem tucked in the same parking lot as a fuel station. Just walk up and speak with the man, the myth, the legend himself. Paulie, great man and he makes a mean hot dog (anyway you'd like and chili cheese fries. Found my new local dog joint for sure.
This place is a must try. The owner Paulie was super cool. Made the dog with love. One of the best Chicago dogs I’ve tried. The Italian beef was spot on. I’ll be back
I kept reading about this place ~ so I broke down and went today. The food was super yummy, but Mr. Paulie made my day! He was such a sweet guy. So, good food and good company. Can’t go wrong!!
Great beef sandwich! Paulie is just cantankerous enough, the right ambiance! Polish is excellent, as well. He's getting a fryer which means pizza puffs are in the near future!Genuine Chicago eats, reasonable prices. We had a beef and a Polish and it was about 15 bucks!I'm going back!
Come here and get an Italian beef. One of the best I've had. I got it spicy with the juice on it. I should point out it's not a restaurant with tables, just two stools out front. It's in a gas station parking lot and if you need a drink you'll have to go there.
The owner he is so nice and the dogs are amazing, the owner is from Chicago so he knows a good hot dog. I was just there with my mother and grandmother (or Babcia) and we all loved it. The restaurant is by a gas station, so this “hole in the wall” restaurant is a hole in the wall. Overall, since I’m not much of a hot dog person, I give this a 10/10 on my scale of good food. Highly recommend trying this place, being from Chicago myself it was a very good experience.
I love Chicago Paulies! There are 2 reasons everyone should try it; 1. The food is out of this world. My usual is a Chicago dog with a spicy pickle on the side and a mango lemonade. But, the Italian beef is great and the Maxwell sausage is phenomenal too. In other words, you can't go wrong with anything in the menu. 2. Paulie is probably nicest guy in Tampa. Talk to him for a second and he will brighten your day.I would put this on any "Must Try" list in Tampa!Chicago Dog
