It's a 5* review which meant to be 1* and no, I will not be dining here again but since the majority of personal is young, maybe they will take this 5* as a future aim and really deserve it one day. Here is what I think. People who hate their jobs serve food to people they despise. No, you won't hear a "hello" here or get a smile. Conversation is very "efficient" and starts with a "name for your order". Ordered a simple hot dog and burger plate, could not believe how many times classier pressed something on her screen. I felt like she's typing a message to the kitchen "o n e hoooot dog, and....". After that a simple hot dog for which you asked "everything" on it, comes with ketchup only. Even no mustard. And to get it - no, you won't have access to some area where it all stored. You got to wait either for the girl who brings the food out of the kitchen or classier. Food was pretty terrible by the way. Guys at the table next to me looked unhappy too and requested to replace a burger which was overcooked when they asked for rare.
Service and quality of food has gone downhill at this location over the last couple years. The last 3 visits it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive to our table. 2/5 meals were incorrect but we dealt with it to not prolong our visit. Also, putting the drink machines and sauce pumps back to self service as they were pre-Covid would be helpful to prevent backup at the register.
i love burger 21, it is a great place to get a quick lunch. the atmosphere is very nice and the shakes are great. i’ve noticed a decline in the quality of the burger buns but it is something you can over look
Great burgers cooked the way you want. Lots of options and suggestions. The Gyro burger is my favorite
I will not be returning to this location. Not because of the food, but the terrible customer service. The first time I went there, I ordered online. I should have checked the order before I left, but didn’t. I got home to see they had forgotten the fries. I called them. They would not bring them to me, but promised a refund which I never got. I decided to give them a second chance. I shouldn’t have. I ordered online and pulled into the to go space. I followed the instructions to text them that I was there and that someone would be “right out” with my order. Ten minutes later, I finally went in to see where the heck my food was. It was not busy. Took another 5 minutes for someone to wait on me and hand me my to go bag that had been sitting on the counter for god knows how long. All I got was an “Oh sorry.” from the person who waited on me. The food would have probably been good if it hadn’t been cold by the time I got it. This place won’t be getting a third chance from me.
Decent burgers, but not fort the price. Low quality bun, similar to any cheap pack that you can buy at a WinnDixie. Three mini cheese slides for $9 with no fries…. Fries come at an extra $3.5….Do not recommend.
Tonight we had an AWFUL dinning experience at the Burger 21 Westchase location!The entire restaurant and the outdoor seating was overrun with almost 50 middle school kids who were trashing the restaurant, using excessive profanity, hitting each other, blasting music with profanity AND throwing food at each other.The staff was embarrassed and said “this happens every Friday”The group of kids then took it to the roundabout where they shot their pellet guns at each other and acted like juvenile delinquents.The local sheriff showed up and the kids left, but they didn’t treat the officer with respect either. Sad.I blame the management of this establishment-you need to take ownership of your store and not allow entry of these children without an adult. The middle school children have taken over and ruined the dining experience for your paying customers. This evening was embarrassing and it scared my two children who thought they were going to be SHOT today.In addition, closing your bathrooms for customers and locking 3 of your 4 entry/exit doors is probably also a fire hazard- I get what you’re trying to accomplish with eliminating the chaos from multiple entries but it’s probably not safe in case of an emergency.
I went to another location in Tampa a few weeks ago and ordered the farm salad and it was beautiful. The girl at the ordering station was quiet and I had to ask her to repeat a few times but I am sure she asked if I wanted everything that came on the salad. I said yes please and received a salad with chewy old tasting chicken, hardly any goat cheese crumbles at all, if any, and no toasted nuts. The strawberries weren’t even cut into bite size pieces. This was disappointing. The tenders I ordered on the side look very yummy. I’m sure you guys can do better. *** Edit - I don’t complain out loud about food to my daughter who I’m sharing this meal with and she and I had the same reaction to the chicken tenders. The batter was so greasy it fell off the tender and the chicken was chewy underneath. The oil tastes bad. ?
Burger 21 is amazing in this certain store they have a great selection of different milkshakes and great tender burgers I highly recommend this location
Love the burgers and shakes. Please bring back the “sauce stand”. Love experimenting
