I go here to work 3-4 times a week. My favorite place to get stuff done. The atmosphere is nice. It's easy to focus. It does get busy in the evenings though. Mornings are my favorite. I only wish that they opened earlier. :)

For the Saturday morning I was looking for a coffee shop and decided to try out Bula Kavananda for the coffee.Bula Kavananda is an amazing coffee shop with beautiful interior and positive vibes. When I entered the cafe I was greeted by the cashier Maggie and she helped me to decide the coffee by answering different questions. She was very helpful and had a smile on her face while answering the questions. After exploring the menu i decided to order Matcha Latte. The service was good and i got my hot coffee in 10 minutes. The coffee was delicious and freshly brewed. I loved the coffee and atmosphere.I can clearly say that it is one of the best coffee shop in Tampa.I will be definitely back to try Kahwa too.

So we only go to Grassroots which is basically across the street but there was no parking so we decided to try Bula out and it is a very different place. So Grassroots is more open meant for talking and playing board games while Bula is meant to sit quietly and work like study but with very chill Stoner style vibes. Also the cover there is like at least three times as strong which is great but it's less of a communal fun place and more of a let's relax and unwind kind of place

I don’t really get the hype. It’s a bit awkward when you first walk in everyone (including the barista) turns around and stares at you. The coffee was okay, nothing special. When my friend and I were done we threw the coffee away in the trash can and walked out the door. A barista then proceeds to open the window and shout at us that next time we need to put the coffee cups on the counter instead of throwing them away. He had a bit of a rude attitude, especially considering there were no signs saying not to throw the drink cups away (he even fished the disposable cups out of the trash can and showed us for some reason). There will be no next time for me as I don’t think I want to support such an unfriendly establishment, however, if you’re thinking of coming here make sure not to throw away your trash or you might get yelled at.

Kris has been the most welcoming person. And the reason I have continued to come here!!! Every time I have come here he has continued to be overwhelmingly welcoming and pleasant to be around. He always makes time for a conversation and makes the BEST DRINKS EVER. I didn’t know what kava was before coming here and was a little skeptical, however, Bula has the best environment ever and I will be back

So their space is clean and snazzy but their cult like attitude is horrible.I have seen the staff harass two customers on two separate occasions. I thought it was just a bartender having a bad day the first time. Then I witnessed him not only accuse a customer of being racist without anything thing more than the customer not ordering a drink right away and then he then vocally ranted to others customers in the shop about how the customer was not ordering from him because the bartender was black. He refused to speak further with the customer he sent other customers over to stare down the accused customer. It created an unbelievably comfortable for everybody that was not in the "elite customer group." For those customers that are there all day everyday they encouraged the bartender to act aggressively. Overall very unwelcoming unless you are one of the "cool kids"The funny thing after hearing what the customer had to say, he went to BLM rallies and supported all the marched for George Floyd.Another time the same bartender harassed a girl out of the bar while shaming her in front of all the other customers. I was so uncomfortable I went out of the shop and talked to the girl to show her she was being treated unfairly. She was being verbally assaulted for being cheap and then after speaking with her, she was a nurse making plenty of money and did not want to buy a drink until a different bartender was there that was not harassing her.I learned the bartender in both instances was Chris and going to other Kava bars you find several people that speak of him ruining their experience despite all the other good things about Bula.

I feel compelled to share that Maggie is an absolute dream. Not only was she extremely attentive to me but also to everyone present without bias. The environment is very clean which is extremely important to me. I enjoyed the aesthetic chosen which offered a very relaxed and calming vibe. Last but not least the product is very strong which I think everyone appreciates. Thank you bula kavanada

This is the best coffee house we have ever been to. We tried the Fiji Kava and got all tingly. Chris, behind the bar, was so friendly and kind. We immediately felt at home. We both had the cold brewed coffee, which was deliciously amazing. They even carried monk fruit sweetener! It is located in an old house, which is stunningly beautiful. Even the bathroom is pretty. Loads of people working on laptops enjoying their drinks. The bar is huge and fun to sit at. We will definitely be returning!

Amazing atmosphere. Very inviting staff and customers. Great place to work too! So happy this great cafe is so close to home. Def will be returning!I never had kava before and they provide a free sample and give a lovely education on it. It is a wonderful, relaxing drink.
