Things they are a changing! And not for the better. It always seems to change every time we come, but this time it wasn’t good. The menus are indeed scrolled on pieces of paper attached to plexiglass. A 15 inch sandwich is still a bargain at 10 bucks and it does include a tiny bag of chips and a drink. However they don’t make breakfast sandwiches anymore! We loved the bacon egg and Swiss on Cuban! But alas, it’s no more. We opted for a BLT and got a BL. They were out of tomatoes. Florida is the tomato capital in the winter …..just down the road in Ruskin there are fields galore. They were out of a lot of soda selections and they didn’t have any devil crabs. If you call ahead to order you’ll be told don’t bother because the line is so long for someone to pick up. Disappointing!
What we got today was anything but a Cuban this is a disgusting abomination of a deli sandwich is sandwich no yellow mustard tomatoes and lettuce on a human no no not heated no no
I've been coming here for 18 years and I'm done. VERY limited menu, prices are outrageous, long wait times and the Cubans are no longer pressed. I understand that prices have inflated but there's no reason for increased wait times if the sandwiches aren't pressed any longer. I'm so disappointed. I used to love eating here.
Ordered online 1 1/2 hour beforehand and still waited an hour in the store for the food. They don’t have platters/meals any longer, only a few cold sandwiches (would have never gone had i known they don’t press Cubans anymore) and everything is more expensive. Everyone waiting was upset over that but we didn’t know until after we payed. I know it is a sign of the times but there are plenty of places to get a pressed Cuban in a timely fashion in Tampa!
I am originally from Tampa, but now live in the Northeast. Consistently my first stop after departing Tampa International is a stop at Brocatos for deviled crabs. In the past have never been disappointed, but it was unanimous among my party that things have changed. Firstly the price has gone up. $13.95 now for a crab. But I would still gladly pay for that if the quality was the same, but it's not. Deviled crabs used to be stuffed with crab with a thin layer of breading...Perfection! But now it has less crab and too much breading. I can't justify the cost of paying for breading. I think sadly, it won't be a mandatory first stop any more. ?

Not what I expected at all!!! My uncle told me about this place. I was craving a Cuban sandwich and wanted to visit my normal spot (Michelle Faedo's) but they were closed. Amazing HUGE deviled crabs, crispy perfection on the outside and full of crab on the inside Cubans and pork are delicious!! 1 fry is big enough for your entire family (it is literally a tray of fries). This is one of our favorite local spots and we definitely recommend!!
ABSOLUTELY amazing food! Highly recommended. Amust go if ever in Tampa area
