Nice quiet dinner with great food and cocktails.
Brio is usually a good choice. This time it was not. The lobster bisque was overly seasoned and did not taste as it always does. The salmon pasta was awful. The pasta was overly seasoned and so spicy that I couldnât eat it. The salmon tasted like it was coated in salt. The server was very nice and when we told him about the food, he said that there was a new chef and he would tell him. No manager was summoned. This was a very disappointing $70 experience.
Of all my years of having great meals at Brio the Chicken Parmesan I had yesterday at your Tampa International Mall location was the most unworthy. The chicken was very dry and there was almost no sauce. I assume I should have rectified it with the waitress; however, I was with a group and did not wish to make a scene. The chopped salad I had before my entre was very good.
I requested to be seated in a low traffic area and away from the restrooms so we were seated in a booth by the bar which was fine. We sat for a good 15-20 minutes before anyone came up to us to take our order. My husband asked our waitress if the chicken marsala had a lot of mushrooms in it and she said the mushrooms are sliced and is mixed into the sauce but they can strain it out for him. My husband got the meal without any sauce on it at all. We tried to flag someone down to tell them but we couldnât find anyone. My husband told me to go ahead and start eating so my food wouldnât get cold. No one was coming to our table so he got up to find someone so he could tell them that his entree had no sauce on it. By the time he got sauce I was done eating. We understand how busy it gets and the server was apologetic but thereâs better ways to handle these situations so the patron doesnât end up waiting a lot longer than necessary.
Not tasty food
The only gripe I have is that the noise level of the rest is quite loud. There was music playing in the background but it was not audible. I only noticed it as we were entering and exiting, but everything else was great: Food and Service were outstanding.
The service was excellent. Very attentive and pleasant !!!
Overall the food & service was good but it was very warm in the restaurant and the floor smelled like the moped with sour water. The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner also
